Rival's Name

When I was a kid I usually either named him something like Asshole or Dumbass, or just the opposite color to the version I was playing. A Leaf Green game I have going on has him named Dingus. In Black 2 he's named Ben, cause Ben just loves to unleash his rage.

Silver: Kamon
Sapphire: Brendan
Emerald: Brendan
FR/LG: Gary
Diamond: Damion (didn't know what the rival's official name was in D/P/Pt at the time, now i know it is Barry)

 

I used to name my rivals lame names like Hamburger. Now I name them cool names, like Shade.

 

It's either ThisGuy or Kent most of the time.

and i used to use whoever was my rival, like in real life. but in my latest name, he got JERK.

 

I used my friends name for a rival xP

 

I use the names of the bad guys from numerous cartoons. Last rival I named Lawson after the annoying kid form Recess.

I always named them like persons I don't like.
Since Pokémon Black/White 2 I name him like my best friend because we are real rivals

 

I've grown quite fond of naming them after planets. Not sure why, I just know my favourite is Uranus. (Immature, I know).

 

I try to put them their real names xD
But one time I put myself Oak and my rival Abedul (I don't know his name in English, sorry xD )

 

I usually name them people I hate or people I'm currently upset with. I've also been known to be really, really immature.....

In Fire Red, I named myself shit, and my rival fuck....just so it would say "Fuck: Yo, shit!"

Wow, I feel better knowing other people called Silver "???" The way the dialogue was in the original Silver/Gold, I thought the police man was telling me that's what I needed to call him. I assumed it was some mysterious kid whose name we would discover while playing through the game, haha.

Aside from that one time, I always name the rival by their canon names. Silver, Barry, ect.

 

I tried to name them their actual name, but in the new one, I named him Gligic, the last name of one of my friends

 

When I was younger I would try to give them real names. I cant realy remember alot of them. Then, lately I have just gone with a game color. In soul silver he was Silver (same in my current HG playthrough), In DPPt I went with Pearl I think. And in BW2, he is Gray (Named for the originally predicted sequal, and since Black and White were the boy and girl of the first BW)
