    Role-Playing Games!

Seeing as this is a Pokémon community, it's safe to assume that every single one of us has played at least one RPG in their life. When talking about RPGs, everyone seems to have different ideas of what makes them great. Everyone has a certain flavour that they prefer. This is a thread to share your thoughts!

Personally, I'd consider RPGs as my favourite genre of games, or at the very least the genre I've sunk the most time into over my many years of gaming. I've always enjoyed the ideas of customization and optimization that come with many RPG games. I love to grind and make my characters as powerful and unique as they can be.

Barring Pokémon, I'm a huge fan of the Xenoblade series, with Xenoblade Chronicles X being one of my favourite video games. Xenoblade X has such an amazing world that really feels ripe for exploring and discovering. Beyond having a very large environment to interact with, Xenoblade X has plenty of deep character interaction through sidequesting. When asked to describe Xenoblade X, I usually tell people it's almost like a playable anime series, which is something really special that no other game I've played has really been able to capture.

RPGs are generally my go-to genre, though I play a fair number of others. Haven't played any of the Xeno- games, though. From Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect to Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Fire Emblem/Advance Wars as well as Persona and Tales of ______, I have a variety of experiences with this genre.

I think we can be friends <3 Mass Effect, Fire Emblem, and Advance Wars are some of my favorite games of all time...along with Fallout, Dragon Age, and Elder Scrolls. I have not played any of the Xeno games either but they are on my ever growing list of games that I need to play >.>

RPG is definitely my favorite genre of video games though I do play others types as well depending on my mood and if my friends keep pressuring me into playing with them xP

RPGs are kind of the reason why I don't play my Switch as much as my PS4. u.u I'm a huge RPG player since those are usually the kind of games that can hold my attention and are engaging for me. Plus, I just love level-grinding and always have.

I miss the Xenosaga series though. Classic RPG that I think everyone should play at least once, but sadly it doesn't seem likely to ever get a remaster or anything like that.

The whole concept behind RPGs are pretty neat and are probably my most enjoyable gaming experience. Some of the qualities of RPG games that I really like are the level of customization allowed and leveling up/grinding in general as it adds a whole new level of game play that lures you in and keeps your attention for quite a while.

Another RPG I've loved for the longest time is Final Fantasy. Sadly, I'm more of an old school FF person and haven't really played much of the more recent FF games. :< It's just that I love the whole turn-based thing that exists in many older RPGs.
