Rules Of Your Room?

Yes. It is very aggravating when my mom thinks she is is helping by "tidying" up my room and then I can't find anything I need. My room may be an organized mess, but at least I know where everything is. Everything has it's place and I put it there for a reason. But she keeps doing it every so often, which never ceases to annoy me.

 

If you're going into my room uninvited, you must be a family member. That's the only rule - and yeah it's there for a reason. >.> There's a girl down the street from me, in elementary school, who will come over and sometimes she just goes into my room. /:

 

I like people to knock and not bother me without asking first. As a kid I had to share my room with a sibling for the longest time so finally getting my own room quite a few years ago was really awesome. I love my room so much, even though it's tiny having space to myself, a giant desk surrounded by plushies is awesome for LV work.

 

I don't really have anything to hide in my room, so I don't have a problem with anyone coming in. Except my brother. He comes in when I'm in there just to annoy the crap outta me. Seriously. He'll just come in and start singing whatever made-up song he wants and start saying weird stuff. And then he'll just come in my room at night when I want to go to bed. He'll keep my light on and just mess around to keep me from sleeping. It sucks.

 

Rule 1 of GG's Room: If I know where everything is and there's a path from the door to the bed, I don't need to clean it.

Rule 2: Despite the fact I have a desk in my room, my workspace is wherever I want to work.

Rule 3: My alarm clock will always be set 10-15 minutes fast at all times. Deal with it.

 

I have one rule: DONT. MOVE. ANYTHING. XD

 

Simple: do not touch anything in my room, or I will never be able to find it again. Also, enter at your own risk, if you fall and break something, that's your own fault. Lastly, no matter how messy my room may be, it's my room, so don't judge. If I want it to be that messy, deal with it.

 

If you enter the room and leave at some point, close the door upon leaving.
Do not turn the lights on if they're not already on or unless it's very necessary.
If you open the door and see that I'm on the phone, please don't start talking to me.

Doing any of these annoys the hell out of me and is one of the main reasons I dislike people in my room. .-.

 

Oh god yes, I have quite a few that I can relate with some people here due to annoyances.

1.) No one but me can clean/move things, or else I'll never find anything. I hate it when parents move stuff while I'm not there

2.) PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING WITHOUT ASKING FIRST OMG. My sister took 3 or 4 things from my room once and I wondered where they were because I needed them.

3.) If I am drawing, or have my headphones on, please under any circumstances do not make me move or talk to me for a streinous amount of time. I'M VERY BUSY (my sister always breaks this rule)

4.) PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR ON THE WAY OUT

5.) in summary if you just barge in, come for your business and leave as quickly as possible.

I was very obsessive about having my own space while I still lived with my parents. I guess it was generally;

1) Do not come in unless I say it's okay. This got annoying because sometimes I would allow my younger sister in, but my other younger sister (the youngest one) would think that was unfair unless she was able to come in too, and she was a little snot, and so loud and rude and etc., you know, typical youngest sister haha.

2. Close the door when you leave. Why did this annoy me so much? I don't know, but it was a huuuge pet peeve, when the door was closed, and then people come in and don't close it when they leave. ;_;

3. If you enter my room while I'm away, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING. My little sisters thought they could get away with this one, but they NEVER could. At least if they take something while I'm in there, I know they have it (or I can just take it back), but either way I do hate my stuff being touched, especially without permission.

I think that's it. I guess teenage angst makes having your own room even more of a serious thing, it's literally the only privacy we can hope to have (besides the bathroom, which I've hid in before just to ensure privacy, especially when I used to share a room with my little sister). By nature I'm big on personal space so I got pretty particular over my own room heh.

 

OOOOOOHHHHHH (Why do I start all of my posts like this?)

1) You can only come in if I tell you
2) You absolutely have to knock
3) No insulting Pokémon
4) Don't pee on my bed

I'm pretty cool about people being in my room as it is the best room in my house to socialize in.

 

Unfortunately I have little to no privacy in my room because it's between my parent's room and the rest of the house and they're constantly going back and forth and driving me insane.

Here are my rules. They mostly apply to my parents.

• Don't look on the left side of my bed (it's a huge disaster)
• Do not try to clean my room (again, it's a huge disaster and I don't want anyone seeing how messy it is)
• Do not steal stuff from my room when I am at the store or in the bathroom (This rule applies to my little brothers)
• Do not have arguments in the middle of my room when I'm trying to sleep
• Do not change the baby's diaper in my room
• Do not stay in my room for more than 60 seconds
• Do not make plans to rearrange my room when I don't want it to be rearranged

 

Well considering I live alone I don't have many rules lol, but when I do get guests and we go in my room;

If you mess up my bed after I fixed it, you better fix my bed
No food in my room, I can't stress how much id hate to roll around in food while sleeping
No smoking in my room, (or apartment in general)
Do not move anything, I won't be able to find it later
Do not go through my closet, too many personal items

And lastly, DO NOT touch my Scanty and Kneesocks figurines, I will kill you.

 

Never leave shocks and generally clothes anywhere!
I want it to be really tidied!

 

Not too many rules at my place.

1- If you want to fight, take it outside.

 

Oh goodness, I could write a twenty page essay about how much of a control freak I am when it comes to my room, but I'll keep this short. Basically everything must not touch the floor unless its furniture or under my bed, inside organized storage containers. I have to have absolutely everything organized, clean, and visually appealing. I also go nuts if my room doesn't smell the same as it usually does, so I always have to have a lavender air freshener on my dresser. As for other rules, my room is banned from everyone except my parents, but alas my siblings still sneak into my room to steal things... and it drives me insane. x-x

 

I share my room with my brother, so we both decide the rules. Really, there aren't that many, apart from "the window must be open at least a smidgeon, to let noise in XD
I can't sleep without noise, so that's why that rule exists.

Same room as Prosecutor, so pretty much the same rules.
