    Introduction:
In this RP you will take on the role of a new student to Beacon Academy, how you got to Beacon is up to you just make sure it's possible. This will take place 5 years before RWBY during the transition of the White Fang's views. At the moment the White Fang is widely known to be a peaceful group, but there have been attacks that the public is uncertain whether or not they are from the White Fang themselves.

The only canon characters in this are the teachers of Beacon, including Ozpin.

Most of the story will be revealed as the RP progresses

    My character

    Name: Slate Asche

    Age: 17

Race: Faunus (Panther) - Has a tail that is wrapped around his waist like a belt.

    Eye Colour: Onyx Black.

Hair: Black Hair that hung at a medium length, the bangs grazing the top of his right eye.

    Physical Description
    [IMG]

    Emblem & Placement:
A jet black cloud of ash with a pale yellow eye in the middle with a black slit through it. The emblem is found on Jet’s left shoulder.

Weapon: A pair of bracelets that has two curved blades on the outside that stretch back towards his elbows. The bracelets double as a rapid fire gun, two tiny barrels poked out of the front of the bracelet above his wrist and it’s reloaded in a small chamber at the bottom.

Semblence: Slate can reflect the light around him making his invisible to the naked eye, the only signs of his presence are small shifts in the environment and any noise that he makes. In order to combat this weakness, Slate has trained himself to walk almost silently, a habit he keeps up at all times.

Backstory: From an early age Slate was trained for only one purpose, to make the rich pay their dues. His father, an exiled member of the peaceful White Fang, believed he was owed everything by the world and thus trained his only son to get what, in his eyes, belonged to him. It wasn’t until his father’s untimely demise did Slate begin to understand just what he had been trained to be. A thief. A crook. Feeling betrayed, Slate sought to gain vengeance on his father in the only way he knew. He embraced his training as a thief and stole from the rich corporations who he believed to be guilty of causing mass pain to the public, and in return, he provided those down on their luck with money and food.

It wasn’t until he failed a job did he discover another method to use his skills. Being a huntsman, he had heard of them in stories but he never believed he had a place in their ranks until he encountered a former student of Beacon who decided he deserved a second chance.

    Trailer:
“And with the recent violent attack at the most recent Faunus Right’s rally has sent shockwaves through both Faunus and human communities, with questions like “Are the White Fang turning violent?” to if this a new faction the police have been forced to increase their patrols through Kingdom in case of another attack.

In other news…” The radio was suddenly switched off by a brown glove followed by a sigh.

“Tch, White Fang this, White Fang that. Nothing but a bunch of loudmouths.” A flat voice whispered out before a figure came out of the shadows. His grey eyes glared at the seemingly abandoned building in front of him, his face mask crinkled showing the outline of a frown beneath. Suddenly a light came around the corner of the street as a member of the Vale Police Department continued on his patrol, passing by the area Jet was originally standing in without showing any signs of anything out of the norm.

Across the street, Slate came back into view as his semblance was deactivated before he slipped back into the shadows of the building.

Entering the building, revealed to be a storage area due to all the crates, Slate snuck through the warehouse while avoiding the guard's thanks to a combination of his semblance and training. Eventually Slate came across a crate at the back of the warehouse, where he could hear growling coming from within.

‘A living creature? How did they get this into the city?” Jet murmured to himself as he studied the crate. Shrugging, he tapped the underside of his wrists triggering his weapon’s activation. Suddenly two curved blades shot out of the sides of his bracele , and using them he was able to slice open the front of the crate.

Peering into the darkness, Slate eyes widened as he caught the gleam of crimson eyes that could only be found on once creature. ‘Grimm!’ Slate thought to himself in astonishment, ‘They actually brought a damned Grimm into Vale!’ Without warning the Grimm roared and leapt at him, revealing itself to be a Beowolf. Diving out the way, Slate raised his arms so the small barrels on his bracelets were pointed directly at the Beowolf.

Multiple shots were fired out in quick succession with only a few connecting with the Grimm’s flesh, the rest bouncing off the bone-like armour. “Ah damn it” Slate grumbled to himself as the Beowolf set its sights on him again. Before it could continue its attack though Slate vanished from its view leaving the Beowolf to growl in confusion. ‘Not as stupid as other Grimm, it’s actively seeking me out.’ Slate mused as he crept up behind the creature, ‘But you’re not smart enough, beast.’ Dropping his semblance, Slate slashed his blades down to the Grimm’s neck, only to gasp in surprise and pain as the Beowolf turned around and slammed one of its arms into his stomach.

Flying backwards, Slate released a strangled scream of agony as his body slammed through one of the crates and onto the glass-like objects within. Thankfully his aura blocked out most of the damage, but a few pieces pierced through the aura and found themselves stabbed into Slate's back. Glancing up in pain as he heard another roar, Slate rolled to his side as the Beowolf came crashing down into the remains of the glass, injuring itself in the process. Climbing to his feet, Slate quickly leapt on the creature as he struggled to rise back to its feet, his blades criss-crossing through its neck. Dropping to his knees as the body of the beast fell before dispersing into an ashy substance. Gazing at the area around him, the last thing Slate saw before he collapsed was the Vale’s Police department running in his direction along with a figure he could only call a Huntsman. ‘After all, who else carries such a weird weapon’.

Here is my character for RWBY.

    Name:
    Rosa Quarzo
    Age: 17
    Eye Colour: Purple
    Hair: Rose Quartz pink

Physical Description: 5’7” Her heels add 2 inches to her height, but those do not count to her Semblance
    upload_2017-10-5_14-4-5.png

Weapon: Luna Viola - Dual Tactical Submachine Blades

Uses Fire, Ice, Gravity, and Wind Dust in combination with her Semblance to create dangerous effects.

The blue is actually rose quartz pink and the light blades are black. upload_2017-10-5_14-4-48.png

Emblem And placement: [IMG] Placed on her hip armor pieces

Semblance: Hollow Rings. Rose makes rings that her hook swords can grab on. She can determine the size of the ring and the thickness of it. The largest rings she can make are twice her length in diameter. The rings can be at any angle but must remain stationary, unless Fire Dust is used. The rings can carry the weight of only one person and are immediately dispersed when touched by Grimm.

With Fire Dust, she can create small fire rings that can be flung to her opponents. Rings cannot be bigger than the size of her head and create a small explosion on contact.

Gravity Dust gives the ring a small, but powerful gravity field around the plate. It can be used to trap opponents or rescue a falling teammate.

Wind Dust creates a powerful tornado, that can propel people or projectiles through it granting them more speed or repel them.

Ice Dust makes a sheet of ice inside the ring. Rose can decide on the clearness of the ice, making it barely visible, or completely blocking sight.

Backstory: The Quarzo family from the Kingdom of Vale is a Matriarchal one, the females all having been fine Huntresses before going in half retirement to start a family. Rose is the heiress to this legacy and strives to life up to it. Trying to be a good example for her little brother and sister, she has been trained from a young age in how to combat Grimm and how to handle various weapons and even make, modify, and repair them to a certain extent. However, she doesn’t really broadcast her talents to the public at large.

She graduated from one of the smaller academies and like the women before her, Rose is eager to join Beacon and join her family’s legacy as Huntress of Vale. She is a bit weird in her family’s eyes as she prefers to use Hook swords as her primary weapon and likes to fiddle around with Dust, it usually ends up in exploding in her face.

    Trailer:
“Mom, are you certain that this is where the mayor said that the Grimm keep showing up? We have been here for two days already.” A young girl complained as she plopped down on the tree trunk in the small camp that she and her mother had set up outside of a small forest close by the village that they had been contacted by for an extermination mission.

“I am sure, Rose. The trails lead to here. We just need to be a little patient.” Lilac Quarzo assured her daughter. The two sat in peace for a few moments before Lilac’s ears caught some sounds that indicated that their prey was inbound. A nod was all that it took for her daughter to whip out her hook swords and get ready to fight. The semi-retired Huntress quickly disappeared into the treetops with the help of her Semblance. It was Rose’s time to shine.

The undergrowth parted to reveal two rushing Beowolves. Rose quickly slid in a defensive stance as she let the Beowolves attack first. Her blades intercepted the claw strikes and the Grimm howled as the sharp edges of the crescent guards bit in their flesh. They continued to exchange strikes and Rose was dodging like never before, the blows were coming from two sides and she knew she had to get away from being in the middle. She caught the strike of the bigger Beowolf and the force of the blow was enough to force Rose to disengage. She used the force to flip out of the strike range of the Grimm and changed her left weapon to its gun form.

Slinging her right weapon on her back, she took aim with her left weapon and fired off several rounds before being forced to once again move from her position as the bullets were ricocheting from the bone armor the Beowolves have. Thinking quickly, the weapon reverted to the hook sword form and with one push on the trigger, she was flying in the air thanks to the grappling hook. While she had originally hooked onto a tree branch, she quickly changed course thanks to her own semblance. Rings had started to appear in the sky from which she was now swinging as quickly as she could trying to disorientate the Grimm.

Without the Grimm knowing, another ring appeared on the floor, flat against the ground.

‘Now!’ was all Rose thought as she shot off towards the ground and readied her Ice Dust. The moment it made contact the floor changed into a sheet of ice. The Beowolves started panicking as they slipped on the icy floor, while Rose was already back in the air after dealing a harsh blow with her swords. The girl was now hanging in the air as she had quickly grappled out of the situation to avoid getting hit. Now she was falling down to earth as another ring appeared in her path. The ring turned green as she fell towards it with a large smile plastered on her face. A wind tunnel formed as she went through it and Rose gained speed. Using the extra speed she created several smaller rings and set them on fire using her Fire Dust slots, before flinging them downward with all her strength. The Grimm had no idea what hit them when the rings exploded on contact. Their howls crawled down the girl’s back, but she continued her spin and with the force created slashed through one of the Beowolves with ease. The other was already disintegrating, the barrage of fire rings having been too much for that one.

“Good job, you are ready for Beacon. Just be sure to help out your teammates, whenever they need it. Remember, the point is to build relations while honing your abilities.” Lilac was standing behind her daughter with a small proud smile on her face.

“I am so ready!” Rose punched her fist in the air before helping her mother to pack away their supplies.

    Name: Taura Kawashima
    Age: 17
    Race: Human
    Eye Colour: Turquoise
    Hair: Teal
    Physical Description:
(Include height and weight if you wish) (Drawings/other visual methods are allowed)
    [IMG][IMG]
Emblem & Placement:Three bluish green water waves with four droplets, resembling a wave or a fan. Placement on her obi/belt.

Weapon:Twin steel war fans named Kai and Nami respectively. There are holes in the ribs of her fans, which she stores Water Dusts in Kai and Wind Dust in Nami. Both fans can be combined to form a round shield. The edges are sharp enough for paper cuts, something which Taura is pretty annoyed about. "How would you kill Grimm then?" she had been asked countless times.

Semblence:Sensing presences. She can sense the presence of living beings (Not so much of Grimm, since they don’t have souls), within a 5 mile radius. Location wise, she can only vaguely pinpoint where they are in terms of direction, not exact location. Accuracy of locating and strength of their presences depends on the distance from where she is.

    Backstory:
Born in a family of merchants from Kuchinashi in the kingdom of Mistral who travelled around a lot. Her ability wasn’t of much use to her until they got lost while travelling through the swamps. Having gotten into a scuffle with bandits and wild Grimm left her scared for her life. Even though her ability had managed to save everyone from getting lost, the injuries many sustained through violence scared her. Ever since then she was then set on not wanting to hurt or kill anyone. Her Semblance had caught the interest of her parents, who recommended her to become a Huntress, but the thought scared her. After a long time of consideration, and getting help from their Huntsmen relatives in Vale, Taura eventually resolved to become a Huntress, just to protect herself as well as help everyone she cared about and in need, allowing her to undergo training in Sanctum, before eventually signing up for Beacon, as her parents laid their faith in her relatives in Vale to take care of Taura while they remained in Mistral.

    Trailer:
“Where are you...? If you're trying to play hide and seek, it's not funny---I-I know you’re around here…” A scared voice of a girl looking lost in a swamp pleaded. She was looking intently for someone, as that someone had vanished for a day and did not return, which worried her. She was sure she felt someone’s...or something’s presence.

    No answer.

Feeling decidedly unsure, she decided to concentrate. Closing her eyes, in her mind, she felt the warm soul of a human some distance west of her, and an upcoming presence from the northeast of her, which were a bit too faint for living beings...which could only mean...

As the presences approached closer, she whipped out both her fans, and swung an arc with both fans now open. They made contact with an approaching Ursa.

A sound of rustling bushes alerted her. It was that human soul. The noise was accompanied by some pained groans. There it was, the voice of the person she was looking for. She wasn't sure whether to go for the human, or handle the upcoming Ursa.

Taura fled deeper into the swamp, the sensation of the human's presence more apparent to her now. The Ursa was still on her trail, albeit slowly. The noise was more apparent, but Taura wasn't sure whether she could still overpower the upcoming beast. Perching up in a tree, she filled Kai with water Dust and Wind Dust. Once the Ursa was within close enough a distance, she swooped down from her perch, swinging both fans down, unleashing enough force for the Ursa to just be blown back slightly. The Ursa only growled louder with more annoyance, as it charged further.

While the young girl was somewhat afraid of wanting to kill a Grimm, she spun an arc quickly using Nami, giving enough room for herself, and for the Wind Dust to at least make contact with the Ursa to deter it from advancing.

Taura heard a whoosh sweep past her ear, and saw a chained dagger slice the Ursa in the side. The Ursa roared in pain as the sharpness of the fan sliced at it, before said chain was pulled back to the direction it came from. Taura turned around to meet a woman, with clothes similar to that of her own, whom despite her seemingly dignified appearance, was nursing her wounded side.

"Took you long enough." The worn Huntress got up to her feet unsteadily as she greeted Taura, who tried to steady her.

"I'm so sorry, Kirie---are you okay? What happened?!"

The other only chuckled. "Got into a fight with a few bandits and Grimm along the way. Didn't you see them at all?"

"W-well..." Taura looked aside, seemingly embarrassed. She did, but she had run at the sight of them, and had tried to talk her way out of their grasp.

"I'm amazed how you can talk them out of things...usually they would hound on the meek like you...I don't know how you'd make a fine Huntress, but when it comes to being out there...it's hunt or be hunted, dear cousin..." Kirie replied bitterly as she was supported by the younger girl.

"Never mind me being meek...let's just get back home. Uncle and Aunt will be worried sick knowing we've been gone." Taura sighed as she dragged her cousin alongside her.

(For the colour naming note. "Kiri" in Kirie is related to the word for "Mist", with regards to the colour "white".)

    Dragonmaiden.png
(image is just to give you a general idea)

Large axe capable of changing into a broad bladed great sword and a sniper rifle, Emerald Tempest is able to conduct the winds generated by Hunter’s semblance and release it in more concentrated bursts.

Sword Mode: Can unleash explosions if fire dust loaded into the weapon, pulling a trigger is needed to cause the explosion.

    Semblance:

Wind Vacuum, gathering air around himself and release it in a burst. The gathering can have a suction effect pulling in smaller entities, be it grimms or otherwise. The bursts created when releasing the winds can push, lift or throw enemies a short distance assuming they’re not huge. Especially powerful bursts can even cut the surrounding area these bursts require a lot of energy and should only be used when absolutely necessary.
Can choose to only have the gathering and burst happen around his arms or legs which require less energy than a full body burst. Doing so can enhance his performance in battle such as jumping if done around the legs or power up punches if done around the arms. If used correctly the bursts can be used to maneuver in the air to some degree.

Can gather and release bursts of wind around his weapon and smaller object as long as he’s making direct physical contact with them while doing so.

Full body burst – Can pull in enemies, push and throw them, costs the most energy. Always a 360 degree burst the wind hits friend and foe alike.
Arm burst – Can power up punches and push/throw enemies, not as far as full body burst
Leg burst – Used as a jump boost, enhance kicking, stomping and so on

    Backstory:

Hailing from a family where almost every member is a huntsman or huntress Hunter has been trained from a young age to follow in the family’s footsteps. The Viridis family teaches their members the basics a primary combat school normally does, they operated on a teacher system where parents, grandparents and siblings of parents teaches the next generation what they need before they can admit to a huntsman academy. Siblings if they’ve graduated are expected to help teaching their younger siblings at some point doing their education. Being the youngest of 3 siblings Hunter’s primary teacher is his older sister.

    Trailer:

“Rise and shine Hunter, today is your big day!” Jade Viridis almost shouted as she entered her younger brother’s room to open the curtains. She then looked at the hammock hanging in the other end of the room, no response or movement.

“Now come on, I know you heard me, you can’t sleep all day.” Walking over to the hammock she stared down at a green haired young man that was doing his very best to ignore that his sister had barged into his room.

“Wanna bet?” An annoyed Hunter grumbled as he pulled the covers over his head obviously having no intention of getting out of bed.

Jade crossed her arms and looked at her brother “Well if you’re gonna be like that I guess Teacher Jade has to come out.” Before Hunter could react to her threat she’d grabbed the hammock and pulled sending him tumbling to the floor, “We’re leaving in less than 30 minutes get some breakfast and be sure you got everything you need since we’ll be going to the village a few days away.” With that she left the room leaving her brother to pick himself up and get ready.

Hunter plopped down a chair at the table with a sigh before helping himself to some breakfast.

“Geez, you’d think someone that’s about to finish his training would be a little more excited.” Jade poked at her brother while she was busy with her own breakfast.

“Blame the sparring match we had yesterday, if you could even call that a sparring match that is I’m more sore than usual.”

“Now you two don’t start anything, you have more important things to think about right now.” I woman interrupted before the siblings could start arguing. “Just promise me you’ll be careful out there.”

“Yes mom.” Both siblings said rolling their eyes before they left the table.

    -- Several days later --

“Okay sis we’ve found the grimm or rather they’ve found us, what now?” Hunter asked Jade as he planted his axe Emerald Tempest in a charging beawolf’s head. They’d been surprised by a small group of beawolves, the group they’d been send out to dispatch.

“Do you even have to ask? Just kill them; even if they managed to surprise us we should still be able to take them on just don’t get boxed in.” Jade deflected a blow with her longsword; dancing around the beawolf she flicked her wrist and the sword became a blade segmented whip before she let loose a series of blows.
Hunter didn’t have time to respond to his sister before another one came at him and unlike its packmate it evaded Hunter’s swing even if it was just barely. The grimm took a swing at him forcing the huntsman to block the attack, now locked into fending off his enemy two grimm saw the chance to attack.

“Brace yourself sis!” He shouted when he saw the other beawolves coming at him, wind started gathering around him before getting released in a burst that pushed the one he was locked in a block with off its feet while stopping the ones charging making them stumble. With a firm grip on his weapon he went after the fallen grimm his axe changing into a broad bladed greats sword. The blade bit dee into it but Hunter wanted to be sure the grimm wouldn’t get back up again, pulling a trigger the sword release an explosion tearing the beast apart.

The other two had recovered from the wind burst and charged Hunter once again but this time he was prepared for them. Wind gathered around his feet and he jumped the wind giving him a thrust sending him higher up. Pulling his weapon into position it changed once again this time into a sniper rifle as he took aim at the grimm below that’d stopped their charge to look up at him. He emptied the magazine into one grimm and it slumped to the ground, the other one not deterred by the demise of its packmate readied itself for the human to come back down.

Hunter had a faint smile across his lips as he got ready to engage the last enemy his weapon became an axe once more. He landed a blow on the grimm’s head making it fall to the ground just like the other one.

“Well looks like we’re done, and next time warn me when you’re gonna do your little wind thing.” Jade said as he approached her brother while scanning the surroundings just to be sure they were really done.

“I didn’t have time to give a proper warning other than brace yourself or you would have needed to tell mom and dad that I got mauled to death by grimm.” Hunter just said as he discharged the bullet cartridges from Emerald Tempest.

“If you say so, let’s head back to the village and tell them the job is done.” Hunter nodded and followed his sister back, this would mark the beginning a new chapter of his life.

Stage 1: New Arrivals at Beacon

So to keep this RP easy to handle for all of us involved, I split it up into different stages and I'll post the new stage here when we're moving on.

In this stage all five of our characters are arriving at the bullhead that will take them to Beacon Academy and after all five have arrived, it will take off. This will give time for everyone to have some sort of interaction until arrival.

Time Limit: 2 Weeks from this post (Make sure your preferences are set to your local time to keep track of the time limit easier)

After 2 weeks, or earlier if everyone is satisfied, we'll move onto Stage 2 which will be explained then.

    Hope everyone enjoys the RP!

    Name: Vail Glacies
    Age: 17
Race: Faunus (Arctic Fox) - has fox ears.
    Eye Colour: Amber Orange
    Hair: White

    Physical Description: 6’1

    Emblem & Placement:

Emblem is placed on the end of his scarf.

Weapon: Frozen Dreams - A chain whip that doubles as a sword. It is mainly blue colored, with icy white and grey accents scattered throughout the weapon’s design. Its main form is a chain whip, mainly used to attack enemies from a distance. For close combat, Frozen Dreams can turn into a sword, although this is not Vail’s preferred form. Frozen Dreams can also be equipped with Dust, in order to send off more powerful attacks.

Semblence: Vail can create a shadow of himself, which he can control freely. However, if it is touched, it disappears quickly. Vail often uses his semblance as a distraction while fighting, in order to trip up his opponents, or to use as scout when in… calmer situations. It is possible to use dust with his clones, giving his semblance a little more versatility. He can only produce one clone at a time, however, since making any more puts too much strain on his body.

    Dust Effects:
Ice Dust - Frozen Dreams can send off waves of ice, or freeze objects or enemies when prompted. Vail’s semblance can leave behind an ice clone, which can freeze or shatter when touched.
Fire Dust - When used with Vail’s weapon, a small wave of fire can be fired off, scorching enemies. When mixed with Water Dust, he can create a mist-like effect, making it more difficult for enemies to see and fight.
Water Dust - Mainly used to make the mist effect with Fire Dust, as Vail has found that there is not much else he can do with it.
Earth Dust - Vail uses this Dust in his semblance only. When a sand clone is touched, it creates a dust cloud that can reduce visibility. Besides… sand in an enemy's eyes or sand in their clothes makes it easier for him.

Backstory: Originally from Vacuo,Vail had lived with a rather tough lifestyle for most of his life. As a member of the White Fang, he had done his best to uphold his beliefs, as well as those of the Faunus. Vail never had anyone to really call ‘family’, often taking refuge with those he felt closest to. As years went by, the White Fang started to change more, growing more mysterious and dangerous, something Vail did not appreciate. After a recent failure of a mission, he ran away to Vale, applying to Beacon in order to become a Huntsman.

Because of his previous life experiences, he has naturally trained himself to do better both in combat and in society. He has a tendency to turn away from others, relying on himself to overcome his problems. Vail made his weapon himself, and at times still had trouble using it.

    Trailer:

A small breeze blew through the trees surrounding the path, rustling the scarf around the boy’s neck. He seemed to be the only one taking that path - it was rarely used, even better when one had to get somewhere fast. It was a little hot outside as well, making the young man have to tug at his scarf in order to make himself feel a little more comfortable.

He looked to the sky, shielding his eyes from the sun. It looked to be almost noon… it wouldn't be too much longer before he made it to Vale. Maybe a couple more days, at the most.

Vail noticed the small shadow run by in the bushes ahead, and he slowed his pace slightly. As he got closer, he slowly took out his weapon, keeping it out of sight. “Who is that…?” He wondered out loud, peering into the bush that the shadow had run into.

    Nothing was there.

“Huh… that's…” He trailed off, backing away from the bush slowly. Vail was about to walk away when he heard a twig snap to his left. He turned quickly, only having a moment’s notice before the Beowolf from his side lept toward him. Activating his semblance, Vail narrowly dodged the incoming attack, watching as the copy of himself disintegrate at the Grimm’s touch.

“Well then.” Vail sighed, pulling out his weapon fully. Keeping himself at a distance, he flung his chain whip toward the Beowolf. It didn't seem to do as much damage as he hoped, and he realized that he would most likely have to get closer in order to kill it.

He made another copy of himself as the Beowolf attacked again, striking the Grimm along the underside of its belly as it went over him. It shrieked, giving Vail another opportunity to strike. Forming his weapon into a sword, he lept over the screeching Grimm, slicing its head off with a clean stroke. It disintegrated quickly, leaving no trace of the Grimm that was once there.

“That was… oddly simple,” Vail commented, remember of the times when it was much more difficult to take down a Beowolf of the same size. It only would have made sense if there was…

As if someone had read his mind, three more Beowolves appeared from beyond the path, surrounding him on all sides. “Wow, okay, that's a little uncalled for. I wasn't looking for a crowd today,” Vail halfway joked, taking a more defensive position.

They began to growl, all of them charging towards the boy. Quickly equipping a piece of dust into his weapon, Vail prepared. A split second before the Grimm came, he lept up, merging his shadow clone with earth dust, and pushing off of it to gain more height. The clone burst into dirt and sand, messing with the Beowolves’ vision. Since Vail was used to this kind of situation, he was easily able to pick the Grimm off one by one, until he was down to the final Beowolf.

As his chain whip went to strike the Grimm’s neck, it grabbed the teen’s weapon, slinging him off his feet and into a nearby tree. His aura took most of the damage, though Vail felt like he would most likely get some bruising on his back. After getting back up again, he rushed toward the Beowolf. It swiped at him, and would have hit him if he had not made another clone. Gaining an opportunity to win, Vail switched his weapon to a sword, quickly cutting off the creature’s head.

The Beowolf’s body fell to the ground, and disappeared after a few moments. Putting away his weapon, Vail slumped to the ground, very much tired after that unexpected fight. “Well,” he murmured. “At least this'll give me a little more motivation to get to Vale. Won't have to deal with Grimm like this all the time.”

After taking a bite to eat, he got back up, beginning to continue on his track to Vale. After that fight, he still had a little bit of adrenaline left in him. Maybe that would help knock off some of the distance he would have to travel...

    And presenting the Antagonists!

    Antag 1:

    Name: Vester Gold

    Semblance: Grasp of Grimm

Semblance Effect: On his palms, Vester has two unique symbols that help him focus his semblance that he modified. Originally his semblance allowed him to cause slight paralysis on skin contact, but through his experimentation with Grimm and semblances he found that he could corrupt it to turn the paralysis effect poisonous. To stop the effect triggering without his wish, he forgone further research and discovered the knowledge of glyphs, particularly the Schnee glyphs and with that knowledge he created a focus point on the palm of his hands.

When someone is caught in Vester’s grip the effects of the toxin spread quickly and rather noticeably, appearing as black veins that cover the body, originating from where the victim was gripped. The victims body will seize up before the poison ultimately kills them. There is no known antidote, for even Vester has no knowledge of how to counter his own ability.

    Antag 2:

    Name: Brans Desmond

    Semblance: Grimm’s Reach

Semblance Effect: Grimm’s Reach is an almost entirely manufactured semblance from the experiments conducted by Vester. Brans original semblance is unknown as it has been mutated beyond recognition. The semblance has found its roots within, not only Brans soul, but his blood stream as well and it allows him to create additional body parts, objects or even projectiles using an unknown substance that can only be considered Grimm in nature. Due to being closer to a Grimm than even Vester, Brans speed and strength are higher than normal and he acts as the frontline of the duo.

Rumours state that Brans is unkillable, as even when he loses a body part he can replace with a new, stronger limb created from this Grimm-like substance.

Backstory: Their origins are unknown, but what is known is their obsession with immortality and achieving an ascended state like Godhood that they believe can be reached by combining the power of the two brothers. Humanity, Faunus and Grimm. With their research it is feared from those in the know that they are close to their goal, as they’re inclusion of Grimm traits into their person without any noticeable side effects has slowed their aging down to the point it would appear as if they were immortal.

Three Atlas military troopers ran through a corridor in search of apparent intruders. Unknown to them two cloaked men dropped from the roof above them, landing behind them not so silently. With a quick jerk of movement, the smaller of the two men gripped one soldier around the throat causing the man to flail in panic, a small gasp of pain escaping him as he was dragged into a nearby room. The other two were swiftly disposed of by the larger man, two large black snakes lunging out from beneath the cloak and wrapping around the trooper’s helmets before squeezing down, and flinging them into the same room that their companion was dragged off too. It was obvious all three of them were no longer among the living.

Calmly the two walked down the corridor, quickly dispatching those they came across until they came across a steel door that was bolted shut.

“Stand back” The Brans gruffly stated, causing Vester to stand back with no comment. With a roar, Brans slammed his fist into the door causing it to creak as the fist began to dent the steel, following this a large black fist shot out of the cloak’s hood. Upon impact the door launched off its hinges, slamming into a group of soldiers. Almost instantly a hail of bullets were fired towards the two, only for Brans to form a shield in front of them which almost seemed to absorb the bullets.

This continued for a few minutes until every gun in the room required reloading, and only then did the shield drop revealing hundreds of bullets suspended in mid air, which then dropped to the ground with rapid pings. Silence filled the room as Brans sulphuric eyes glared from beneath his hood before inky blackness shot out from his cloak slamming into the soldiers, piercing through their armour and disabling them from fighting back.

“You don’t need to worry,” Came Vester’s almost hissing voice as he walked into the room from behind Brans, “Brans won’t kill them. Neither shall I, the only thing we want is you” He directed towards the burly man at the end of the room, this was the commander of the military base, as evident of his uniform, and in response to this the man glared at the two attackers.

Suddenly one of the soldiers released a scream as Brans appeared behind him, his now visible pale arm wrapped around the man’s neck. “We will make this simple for you Commander, you come with us and give us what we want, or I will kill your men one at a time. And trust me when I say each one will suffer excruciating pain before I decide to give them release.” Brans growled out, his arm beginning to morph into that black substance that attacked earlier, and along the arm jagged spikes began to grow.

Seeing the threat, the commander shouted in panic “Alright damn it! Just don’t kill them, they have families that need them.” He pleaded. Satisfied with his response Brans released the soldier before grabbing the Commander with one of his extra appendages and flinging him out of the room.

“Brans, please don’t kill the commander yet. We still need him,” Vester cackled out, his hazel eyes glinting with glee at the actions of his companion. Grunting in amusement, Brans followed Vester as he ran after the commander. Stopping at the door, Brans glanced back at the injured soldiers and scowled.

“No loose ends.” He growled to himself as a swarm of black filled the room.

“Tell me Commander, what do you store in that vault of yours?” Vester pondered, his hand harshly gripping the man’s shoulder, only the thin clothing stopping the monster’s ability from activating.

“Finances, weaponry and our most recent shipment of Paladins,” The defeated tone in the Commanders tone told of how broken he had begun on the small journey, no doubt the swift dispatching of his men being the main source of his grief.

A laugh escaped Vester, “Perfect, such primitive weapons have no place within the new world, but for now they are useful.” He hissed out, his gaze locked on the commander as he watched with glee at the experienced man’s gears turning as he tried to figure out what their motivations could be.

“Are you two trying to start a revolution?” He gasped out, sending Vester into another round of laughter.

“Revolution? Goodness no, that’s too small” He stressed, slamming the Commander into a nearby window, allowing him to see the mass amounts of destruction that had come down on his base, “This world of mortals is too limited, too biased. We seek to lift ourselves above that, and create a better world. A world where only the strong shall survive, no Grimm. No humans and no Faunus. Only what there should have always been, an ascended species. The perfect species.” He hissed into the man’s ear, before pulling him away from window and into the vault room.

“Now open it.” He commanded, only to step back and avoid a slash from his captive. “I see you still think you can resist,” Vester snarled, lashing out with a kick to the mans outstretched hand, knocking the knife from his hand. Following this he span on his heel and slammed his foot into his face, knocking him into the door of the vault. “Now I’m going to make this simple,” Vester began to speak as he approached. All trace of amusement leaving him, “You will open that door or I will personally kill every man in this base, and trust me when I tell you my methods are far from humane.” He snapped.

With reluctance, the commander opened the vault only to hold in a scream as Vester’s foot slammed into the back of his knee, causing him to drop to the ground. “Good,” Vester stressed, using the back of his hand to lift the Commanders head. “Oh, and I am so very sorry, but your men are already dead. Brans really hates when people see him. So shy” Vester mocked the dying man, as Brans walked up from behind the two with a smirk on his face, confirming his partners statement.

Before the commander could respond, all traces of play left Vester’s expression before the commander’s vision was filled by his captors palm followed by darkness, and the last words he would ever hear did nothing to grant him peace, “Do not worry Commander Anza, your contribution will help in the establishment of a new and just world.”
