As the new fairy type is super effective against dark type, Sableye and Spiritomb will lose the "no moves super effective against" typing. Is anyone worried about this or did you never really use the two Pokémon anyway.

I don't think it's anything to be that worried about, it's just another level of balance within the games. A nice switch up. I also never used those much anyway, but even if I did, I'm not particularly concerned. Just because a Pokémon now has a weakness doesn't ruin it, every Pokémon besides those two have weaknesses after all.

As a big fan of my little imp, I will be sad to see the one trait that I loved about him gone... i hope he gets a mega-evolution to compensate. Mawile got one, so why can't he?

I do agree that he needs a mega-evolution too. Sableye is one of my favourite Pokémon and I would hate for it to be overshadowed by other Pokémon who receive mega evolutions. Garchomp didn't need a mega-evolution so I believe Sableye is deserving of one. I don't think having only one weakness will completely ruin Sableye and Spiritomb now but if they are able to learn a few new moves, that should compensate for it. A Pokémon with only one weakness is special enough by any standards.

I'm not really worried, but it is something I'll miss. The fact that they had no weaknesses was the one thing that made those two Pokémon really stand out from the others.

However, one very good thing comes out of this...

    Sabeleye evolution, anyone?

I don't think its that big of a deal seeing how Spiritomb was bad anyway and Sableye couldn't take hits that well in the first place.

I agree, Sableye's real gimmick was using priority status moves. The typing isn't that important considering you can use Will o wisp/Substitute/Recover whenever your opponent switches or sets up something and go from there.

I kinda like that they have a weakness now.

A little off-topic, but has anyone checked to see if, with the addition of Fairy, there's a new weakness-free type combo?

For Sableye I'm not really concerned, but I really liked spiritomb so that kinda sucks

The thing I like though is I've wanted X from the start so Xerneas is SUPER EFFECTIVE on the other legendary

I'm not worried about it at all. It'll make things more fun and challenging. Besides, most of my favorite Pokémon have several weaknesses anyways. :D

I'm not too upset, both may be weak to fairy, but we have no idea how many fairy Pokémon there will be or how many moves they will have either. Actually works out cause in my fanfiction, one of my characters will be getting a sylveon and he will need it to beat a gym leader with a sableye.

Sableye is one of my favorite derpy Pokémon! Not so much because of the Dark/Ghost-type though, it's more because of the Prankster ability which lets it be derpy with priority on moves like Recover, Will-O-Wisp, etc. I mean, the typing helps a bit because it can't be OHKO'd as easily as some other derpy Pokémon, but I don't think the Fairy-type really changes anything. Honestly I think it makes a great change for hackers because the ever-so-beloved WonderTombs and WonderEyes shall cease to exist! :D

I don't really feel anything, to be honest. Maybe a tinged of sadness for them loosing the "no weakness" trivia bit at the end of the wiki, lol, but aside from that, I don't really care. I'm not really into battling so I never really saw these two's battle potential. Though I really do hope Sableye gets a mega evo. It really needs one. Spiritomb is cool on its own, but a mega evo wouldn't hurt it either.

D'awh, no more WonderTombs or WonderEyes? A pity, but no huge loss.
