Saddest Anime Moments

The time when Hughes was killed. Hughes was such a fun and loving father. "Maes, despite all his goofball antics, is a rather wise man for his age and is prone to doling out sagely advice to the people he has invited into his extended family, including Roy, the Elrics and even Winry Rockbell, in order to make sure they take the correct path to the happy future." I really thought when he died, my heart stopped. I had grown so attached to this caring man, that when he was truly gone, it left a hole that made me cry.

 

I'm going to write without spoilers so that people who know what I mean understand but people who don't and are watching don't accidentally click the spoiler and get it spoiled before it happens.

I have to agree with you on Zankyou no Terror Sanc, but I think the ending was the most depressing part. It's just so sudden, it broke my heart to see it happen, especially when everything just seems normal again...

Angel Beats... I don't know if the ending or Ichiban no Takaramono (Yui and Hinata's song) was more depressing. The ending on one hand everything (including the title) comes together, everything comes to a head, and in classic Key fashion, your keyboard has tear stains that no cleaning agent can remove. And that post credits scene... Yui and HInata's song though... There is something about that moment, when you realise what's just happened and you're not sure if Hinata was acting or not anymore and Yui's backstory is finally revealed and you just see heartwarming pictures before realising what's happening... Then you cry. Key really like to rip your heart out as it weeps and shows it to you before putting it back and giving you ice cream.

At the end of Madoka Magica with Sayaka and Madoka.
Also the end of the promise day arc in FMA:B. That was bittersweet.

 

Yeah.... Zankyou no Terror, man.
Gotta agree with both Sanc and Sachi. The Ferris wheel scene and the ending were both scenes that brought me to tears.
(completely didn't just rewatch the last episodes)

One other scene that was heartbreaking was the one in SnK.
