Sanc and Karz's RP thing

Mine and Sanc RP thing, we're still working out some things but I wanted to make the topic before we forgot about it.

Name: Ace Highgate
Weapons: Various firearms, knives and materia
Armor: Company uniform

Ace is part of a new type of soldiers created by a new smaller company that popped after the meteor's fall. Although considered an entirely different type of troops than those from SOLDIER Ace is still infused with mako albeit less than SOLDIERs. He is like is fellow soldiers he been enhanced with bio mechanic technology, essentially making him a mako infused cyborg. Although Ace is considered a dud along with a handful of others the enhancement treatment didn't prove to be as effective as it should have been on them and possessing only about half the capability of their comrades that reacted like predicted to the treatment the jobs they do just tend to be of lesser importance and mostly consist of guard duty much to Ace's displeasure.

Standing guard over his company's newest toy, a new materia of some kind Ace Highgate was silently cursing his employer. This was certainly not was he'd signed up for when he enlisted. He and a handful of others always got the drop dead boring jobs simply because their enhancement procedure had only been about half as effective as it should have been.

Looking up and down the monotonous grey and white hallway he stood guard in there was no one but him, with the exception of one of his comrades passing through the hallway at regular intervals. Lucky bastard, at least he gets to walk around instead of standing here guarding their precious little toy he though as he greeted his passing comrade for the 20th time today like he had every 20 minutes for the past month.

"Just 2 more hours and I can kiss this post goodbye for the day, providing my replacement actually shows up on time today." Ace mumbled to himself as he watched his colleague turn a corner.

The uneventful evening was broken about an hour later when one of the scientists that worked on the company's new materia showed up. Ace couldn't be bothered to remember the guy's name; there was so many of these lab coats clad personnel that he simply didn't bother with their names. Walking up to Ace the guy flashed is employer card to Ace who took a quick look at it, mainly to see the name, Siegfried Field.

"Enter, Dr. Field" Ace said as he moved aside so the man could enter the materia lab. He didn't take long to reemerge from the lab with a metal briefcase in hand; Ace didn't think much of it since the ones working on the materia constantly came and left with suck items.

Nearing the end of his shift he was wondering where his replacement were since he couldn't leave until he'd shown up and briefed him on how the shift had went.

"That good for nothing lazy little shit Bruce, bet he's sleeping somewhere or raiding the staff cafeteria again." Cursing Ace just wanted to be off this boring post already before he died of boredom and get something to eat, his stomach chiming into his rants with rumbles and growls.

While Ace continued to curse his colleague's tardiness the head of the materia project showed up like he did every day to check on the progress of the materia. Ace did the usual check and let the man in. Then all hell broke loose when red lights started flashing in the hall followed by the alarm. The head scientist then ran out of the lab barking an order at Ace as he ran past him screaming something about the materia had been stolen.

"Ah shit, of course something like this happens." Ace cursed before storming off to find his commander.
