Just wanted to update you guys with some information regarding the bug!

"Sword and Shield: SD Card Issues

After more investigation, it has been figured out that SD cards formatted with exFAT are what could cause issues with the SD card. Save data is not at risk at all. Saves are stored on the internal NAND, which uses FAT32/doesn't corrupt. The only data at risk are downloaded games/other SD card files, and those can be redownloaded. The absolute worst case is you lose some screenshots. Some cards will be formatted in the FAT32 and will be okay with the Switch, but some may have exFAT. We will provide more information to try to help users that wish to reformat their SD cards. This issue only affects people that purchased an exFAT SD Card for their Switch."

This tweet below should also shed some more technical light on the matter:

    Tweet explaining the issue.

I personally don't know much about the matter but just wanted to pass the information along in case it applied to one of you guys!
