Do you think they will bring this back? I really hope so, was a great feature in Generation 5.

I personally didn't like seasons in Generation V. I'd like it if they brought them back, but only if it didn't really affect the game at all (modifying routes and Pokémon appearance rates...), other than look nice, and maybe last the actual three months. Also if they do make it so they last three months, let me choose southern hemisphere at the beginning of the game or something...

I think they have to. Deerling's forms are entirely based on the seasonal changes. Even if they speed the seasons up so that the players can access season-exclusive areas, they'd still have to be there for Deerling.

The seasons were weird for me at first. When I started playing the game they were all misaligned, and I thought this was because I was playing on an R4i and it didn't have access to the clock, or something. Plus they kept speeding through randomly when I started up the game. But, eventually, it settled down on the proper season. I guess it just wasn't used to southern hemisphere weather.

I never really cared about it, since they couldn't use it in story mode or something

I think it keeps things interesting. Things like out of reach items becoming available in winter gave me reasons to wander old areas I normally wouldnt go through again. That and the beautiful changes, plus imagining how much prettier the changes would be in 3d, they better keep it :D

This. If they are going to have wild Deerling or Sawsbuck at all it's needed. I'd like to see it back but I'd also like to see it mean more. More changes in the way you have to navigate in various seasons, and some more distinct changes in the Pokémon available in a given season; the differences in Gen 5 there were small, basically just some Pokémon that wouldn't or only would show up in Winter and that's it.

I just didn't like the whole point of seasons. You can finish the game in a couple of hours and only go through one season easily. A month seems too much for me to have exclusive things. I don't want to have to remember to check back an area the first of a month two months from now, especially if I'm not even playing Pokémon by that time.

Yeah I can see what you mean with how they were, cause the seasons didn't carry many exclusive features at all, there wasn't a real incentive to keep plaything through all the seasons. That's why I'd like to see more Pokémon exclusive to seasons if its done again, really make the seasons mean something when it comes to getting all the Pokémon besides just a couple that don't appear in winter or only appear in winter.

I like the seasons, especially since it changes the music in several routes. The problem is it's...off. In spring, my game says it's autumn. Very screwed up in my opinion. xD

Yeah the seasons are not meant to follow the actual seasonal pattern, each one lasts a month and there are three different months for each season to allow people to experience all 4 seasons within four months. Spring is January/May/September, Summer February/June/October, ect. It confused me for a bit when I first got White version because I expected them to follow the real-world seasons of my location.

Maybe Gamefreak will make a season-based move. In summer, it's fire; autumn, water; spring, grass; winter, ice.

I think It'd be cool seeing how the battle scenes are in 3d. When it's winter the trees could have snow on them, and in Autumn the trees would have different colored leaves, ect.

i like the idea of having seasons in gen V. I just wished they added more to it. :( But it would be cool if they kept it and did more than just a simple "Oh look, it's snowing and it's pretty"

Yes, that'd be very cool! I liked the idea of seasons; it was nice seeing the routes' appearances change, and it felt more like you were on a real adventure and that time was really passing.
