This is my first attempt at a Nuzlocke, I'm honestly kinda nervous Rules: Can only capture the first encounter of a area If a Pokémon faints, it is to be considered dead and placed in a box to never be touched again All captures must be nicknamed It is game over once I'm out of living mons (if I white out and there's living mon in the box they will be put into the party) Dupes clause Nuzlocke doesn't start until I get Pokeballs Battle style is Shift The Game has been really randomized, with random items, moves, typings, and even evolutions. My first attempt was ruined when I ended up crashing my laptop during play, so this is actually my second attempt at my first Nuzlocke. At Oak's lab, the starters were Electrike, Kabuto, and Unown. I went with Electrike while my Rival, GARY, took Unown. I named Electrike Shibah, and she was Ground/Fire, Naughty natured with Guts ability. Holding TM 49, Bug type Fury Attack, Dragon type Horn Attack, Electric Rock Throw, and Fire Frenzy Plant. TM 49 ended up being a Water type Cotton Spore. The rival battle was fairly intense as I was struggling to learn its weaknesses. The Unown was resistant to bug and electric while weak to dragon. It used Wish and Leech Seed a lot, while also having Water Spout. At yellow health I managed to beat the Unown down. At Route 1 my first encounter was a Makuhita, which I managed to catch. I named him Butch, he was a fire type, Sassy nature, Trace ability, with Rock Pin Missle, Steel Sweet Scent, Fighting Skill Swap, and Grass Twister. Over the course of training him up from level 3 to level 6 to match Shibah he learned a Ground type Thunderpunch in place of the Sweet Scent. On the way to Viridian Forest, I lost both the Route 2 and the Route 22 encounters- but the encounter in Viridian Forest was caught! A Magikarp named Dio, Quiet natured, Steel/Rock, Vital Spirit ability, Grass Swift, Fire Mean Look, Steel Hydro Cannon, Poison Razor Leaf at level 3. During Dio's training montage, shortly after he hit level 4..he was ambushed and quickly knocked out in one hit...by a level 2 Swinub. RIP Dio (1800-2017) His spirit was placed within the Alleyway as I was forced to continue on through Viridian Forest with just Shibah and Butch. As a sign of hope, a bag of Stardust was found within the maze..however it was a false hope as shortly after Shibah was killed in battle against a Spinerak. She was also placed within the Alleyway, a warrior who didn't get to shine. Lost too soon.. Down to just Butch we started to rush out to Route 2 in hopes of a encounter. Along the way we discovered a rare drop- a Master Ball! Who would leave a item like that in the forest?? Granted, it is a maze.. Route 2 ended up just like the others, slaughtered in one hit. In Pewter City, I felt as if the run was going to end very soon so I decided to heal Butch and go at Brock. I'll go down fighting, I believed! In place of Gym Leader Brock, we encountered Gentleman Pansy. What a name for a gentleman! He began the battle with a Spinerak who used Lovely Kiss A LOT. Thank goodness I bought 5 Awakenings! I took it down and the ace of his team arrived- a Ditto. I OHKO'd it with the Ground Thunderpunch after it attempted a Dragon Claw. I got the BoulderBadge and the Rock type TM Endevour! Team: Butch- Level 15, Fire type, Trace, Confusion (Normal), Thunderpunch (Ground), Skill Swap (Fighting), Overheat (Poison) Dead: Dio, Shibah
Day 2: Butch was killed by a Trainer's Treecko with Self Destruct. I am out of Pokémon.. This was a short Nuzlocke >n<
Awww that really sucks qwq You did pretty good for a randomized nuzlocke, which requires a lot more thinking than regular ones. Good job!
Thanks >n< I hope to attempt another nuzlocke of FireRed later, maybe not randomized, or maybe changing the randomization so that I'd still get a basic stage Pokémon that can evolve randomly instead of possibly getting a fully evolved starter like in Emerald with Scizor.
