'Shameful' hobbies and interests?

Nah, I don't feel there should be a reason to be ashamed of one's hobbies, unless it's blatantly criminal, or something. I'm proud of all my hobbies and interests. I've been judged countless times for being an adult and still taking a liking to things (like Pokémon), but I couldn't care less what others think in that regard.

 

Pokémon, honestly. I feel like people still think I'm a kid because I like Pokémon, not that there's anything wrong with that. I think people are just ashamed to admit, yes, I like something targeted to eight-year-olds.

 

I was judged for playing Pokémon when I was little. It's mainly because it's a thing targeted for kids and all that, and also more so for guys too? When I went to buy cards once the cashier asked me "Oh, are these for your brother?"

I get judged for watching My Little Pony. I mean I know its a kid show but for some reasons lots of adults seen to like it too because of the themes of the episodes. I'm not mad about it, its just the teasing I don't like.

 

I guess getting invested enough in ships I like to read nsfw fanfiction about them lols

 

Fanfiction is definitely something that I'm not comfortable with. I can talk to any of my friends about being a video game nerd, so that isn't hard for me.

 

Honestly, not a lot embarrasses me. If someone thinks it's wrong that I like such-and-such, well, that's their problem, not mine. I'm just thankful there aren't really any people who I'm embarrassed to talk to about a particular hobby.

 

Nothing. No one should be ashamed of their interests or hobbies really, unless they hurt others.
