Sheer Force is a unique and useful Pokémon ability. It increases the power of attacks with secondary effects by 30% at the cost of that effect. For example, Psychic normally does 90 base damage with a 10% chance to lower special defense. With Sheer Force, the special defense drop effect is lost and now Psychic is 30% more powerful! Combine this effect with a life orb and the damage can be devastating. One of the most notable Sheer Force users is Darmanitan and its Flare Blitz. What Pokémon with Sheer force do you like to use? What moves do you think would be great in combination with this ability? What Pokémon in general do you think should have this ability?

@[member="❀Bloom❀"] I'm noticing you have an affinity to Darmanitan :P

One of the best Sheer Force users, barring Darmanitan and Nidoking/queen is Landorus-Incarnate. Lando-I is fabulous with the coverage it gets, and the Pokémon will start to sweep if given any chance. Rock Polish is a key factor in that.

However, my favorite Pokémon with this ability regardless of competitive play is Hariyama, because I'm a Hoenn fanboy.

I really love this ability. Whilst I haven't gotten to use it too much in competitive play, I can see it being really useful for some of my teams. Too bad Mega Camerupt, a user of it is so weak to a lot of really common moves...

It can be such a useful move, I love it. I love running choice scarf darmanitan personally, the nearly guaranteed outspeed and flare blitz is so powerful already.

2 random things: 1st, I wish kingler got a better moveset to go with the ablility, that would be a lot of fun. I loooove kingler.
2nd... I once in random battles got sheer force hariyama with fake out. Didn't realize my mistake until after I used the move

I really like using sheer force Mega-Camerupt in doubles.
If it sets up trick room and when you attack with heat wave you get 90(Power) + 30%(Sheer Force) + 50%(STAB)
which is awesome. And sheer force darmanitan is good too. It wrecked my team in a OU battle becaue
he had 252 jolly darmanitan with choice scarf.

Sheer Force is a beauty. One time, I was able to OHKO a Rotom-W with My Darmanitan using Flare Blitz (with Sheer Force) and holding a Life Orb. Don't think the Rotom was max Defense, but I do believe it was max HP. Either way, Darmanitan's power with this ability is just frightening. There are other notable Mons with the ability too, like Nidoking who I find to use a lot, and the upcoming HA Feraligatr!

Sheer Force cancels Life Orb recoil if the move has a secondary effect. This make LO Lando-I such an insanely powerful wallbreaker. Double the LO damage with no adverse effects. :P

Earth Power, Sludge Wave, Psychic, Focus Blast... Such an insane movepool.

Though an observation is that Sheer Force users tend to be frail, and thus weak to Bisharp and other priority. Not many good Sheer Force users can take CB Aqua Jet from Azumarill.

Sheer Force is definitely an ability to be feared when used in the right hands. Sometimes I like to use Skill Swap in Doubles to give my Blaziken Sheer Force after its built up speed from Speed Boost. Now I have a fast Pokémon that can use extremely strong moves like Flare Blitz and High-Jump Kick with 30% more damage and takes NO RECOIL. Easily one my favorite tactics when playing Ubers Doubles.

Darmanitan and Nidoking are my go to Sheer force users. If I were to pick one Pokémon to have it which could be game breaking... lets see... slaking all the way
