    Shinies are now running around the Lake!

    You heard right. Shiny Pokémon are now appearing around Lake Valor. These are different colour variants of the Pokémon you can originally find in the Kanto Region. Yes, that includes legendaries and legendary eggs!

    They're rare, so if you find one consider yourself very lucky and treasure it!

    *Please note that you cannot currently find shiny Alolan Forms.

    Yes, the egg will be a noticeably different colour from the original.

    The Intro Lobby has a limited selection of Pokémon that can be encountered, therefore your chances of finding a shiny are increased.

    That's true, but a Shiny is supposed to be SUPER rare. I've been playing Pokémon games for a long time, and I've only ever caught one. I'm not complaining that they're so common, but the prefix "extremely rare" is a bit misleading. XD

    Wooh what a nice surprise to come back to. Are the encounter rates the same as normal?

    Edit: besides the lobby. I just saw a previous post saying that the encounter rates were upped there.

    We are not the Pokémon games, though! I've edited that for clarity but yes, they are still rare. Just because you found one in a section where there are significantly less Pokémon it does not make them common. The entire catching app is a work in progress, expect rates to be changed and updated as we get a good gauge of how users are interacting with it.

    (Also I've got 60+ shinies in Sun and Moon so ;D luck)

    It's a shame that we can't find Alolan shinies yet, because I really wanted a shiny Alolan Vulpix.

    Also, the shiny colours for the Legendary Eggs are definitely noticeable. How do I know? I'll keep that a secret~
