Shinies

It's definately my lucky game
I have the game about a week now, and I already have a shiny Ralts, Floatzel AND Amaura!!!

 

I haven't found a single shiny Pokémon in my years of playing the games. I also honestly don't see a huge need for them, I'm not as much of a hardcore player as everyone else. Exp is more important than a shiny to me.

 

I just caught a shiny Shellder! It was in a very low chain of like 12 or so.

 

I've never encountered a shiny before now. Ben even called me lame for that, how mean. >.< BUT, I finally got one~ It's a shiny Gastrodon from the friend Safari. I heard that shiny encounters are increased there, idk. Though, I have a feeling that the shiny encounter rate has been increased. I mean, I'm never this lucky, haha!

I haven't been able to pick up any shinies yet. I must admit though, I haven't really been looking at the wild Pokémon a whole lot. I've just been looking through, catching what seems to be their for the Poke'Dex, and leaving. If I were to stick around a little longer I probably would have run into one by now. Either way, haven't yet. Hopefully I will run into one, and I guess I'll update this post when and/or if I do.

 

Found my second shiny today, which is a shiny Octillery I found while fishing for Alomomola to fill my Pokédex. It's a piss yellow color.

 

I've been breeding Eevees for 4-5 days now using Masuda's Method and nothing... I use one japanese and one native Eevee. I also have a japanese Ditto, maybe I should try using the Ditto? ;/

Yesterday I was chaining the Pokeradar for a shiny Hawlucha but after 2 hours of searching I decided to take a break and check the Friend Safari instead. I found a shiny Dwebble after 2 encounters.

It ain't that different from its original coloration. Oh well.
If only I had kept on searching... I would've found that shiny Hawlucha

 

It's obvious the rate has been increased, and I agree with Doima that it could be more common in early copies. I did get X on the release date though, and I haven't bumped into any...I guess I'm just unlucky.

 

I haven't had much luck with fishing but doing the friend safari is kinda good.

Ahhhh, shiny incounter has def' gone up uwu I ran into a shiny carnivine and died inside. I hate theeeemmmm. But I decided to breed my boyfriend a shiny houndoor, he's never had one before and it's his favourite Pokémon. Thought it would be a good present for him when he gets Y. It was my first time using Masuda method. It took about 4 days because I was being slack and not putting much time into it, but about 150 in I got one! Then last night, the same day I hatched the houndoor, I tried to Masuda for a Goomy AND GOT ONE, 80 IN, IT'S BEAUTIFUL /SOB. Now I'm attempting an eevee. May the odds be in my favour.(I'm about 60 in at the moment)

I've heard of people getting stupid amounts of shinnies through friend safari, some people catching 2-3 in a day. That seems to be the best way of getting them.

 

I definitely think the rate increased, a lot of people have been finding shinies. I caught a shiny Foongus less then 10 hours in and I was very suprised .

 

I hate you all. Naw I'm kidding, KIDDING. I love you guys. I still don't think it's been increased, though. Being a global release, it's more likely that more people are finding them at the same time. I've bred at least 1,000 or more Eevee, Zorua and Vulpix, using the Masuda method. Not. A. Single. Shiny.

Oh, well. At least when Pokémon Bank/Transfer come out, I'll get to transfer all my cool shinies.

 

Found my third shiny today in a Friend Safari: Tyrogue. It's now a cool grey and purple shiny Hitmontop.

I gave up. I'm not breeding eevees anymore. I'm trying with Slowpokes now, I freaking love them. <3

 

I accidently found my very first shiny yesterday. It was an illumise.

 

I can almost fill a party with shinies by now...

Okay, I just found that shiny Spinda a few hours ago. And now I encountered a shiny Venomoth.
I have one tip for everyone who wants to encounter shinies:
SPAM THE HELL OUT OF TIPPING
I don't care if it's official, or just a rumor. But it works. It really, really does.
