Shinies

Gen VI has been great for me shiny wise, as I now have both of my favorite Pokémon as shiny: Sandslash and now Steelix. Major thanks to Del for obtaining the shiny Onix and willing to part with it, Ashe for donating the Metal Coat, and Satix for holding onto it until I could get to a wifi spot to get it. This is great.

 

I just caught a shiny Frogadier in the Friend Safari today! I was so excited, I've been looking for over a month for a shiny Froakie, and after thousands of failed eggs, I gave up for a while- then this guy appeared.

I eventually caught him, and I'm currently in the process of training him. He just evolved into a Greninja and his color scheme is really badass, I have to say.

 

Caught shiny Noibat today while I was hunting for Fraxure I think its ok looking but I think I like the normal colors better D;



omggg Ryan helped me get a shiny Trapinch today! It's going to be a cute Flygon

 

Was looking for shiny Eevee in the safari for a while last night, then decided to take a break and try out the new Pokeradar instead. I chose a route at random to practice (route 15), started up the radar, entered the first shaking patch....

And found this guy:



Sadly, I never really liiked this Poke, haha. I always thought its eyes looked freaky, like it was possessed or something. But I don't think its shiny is quite as scary.

 

I was wandering around in a Normal-type friend safari today and I found this guy-



I'm so happy, I've wanted a shiny Eevee for ages, since it was the first shiny Pokémon I ever hatched from an egg back in GSC. I just evolved him, as well-



I love Sylveon's shiny colors, it's definitely one of my favorite shinies in a while. I named him Apollo and he's adorable, I can't wait to train him into a dragon-killing machine!

 

Stumbled upon a shiny Lapras today. It gave me a fright with perish song but I caught it! It has its hidden ability and perfect IVs in its defense and sp. defense so it will be great for a rain team.

 

I got different shinies in this game! ♥
Fishing is my favorite, I got shiny Magikarp, clauncher, remoraid, Tandrak (from my boyfriend) and relicanth (traded for shiny tentacool)
With the masuda method I got two shiny Pokémon: Espurr and Floette
And finally I got two shinies in friend safari: phantump (took loong xD) and magcargo (the first one ;D)

 

I honestly would love to chain for a shiny or find it, I've still only found a Roggenrola. It's cool to see everyone else finding shinies, though. Happy for you guys!

 

You should try out the chain fishing method if you haven't yet; I personally find it to be the fastest and easiest.

I've decided the friend safari is a mysterious place. Seems like whenever I'm actually hunting for a shiny, I never find one. Then, when I randomly wander around unlocking all the Pokes in someone's safari, this happens:



I tend to like tough intimidating Pokémon more than small cute ones, so she's now a vividly green Ursaring. Look at that grumpy face!

I'm still breeding for a shiny Dratini. I want to make it a Dragonair, but I don't really like shiny Dragonite, so that probably won't happen...

 

I found this little girl while wandering around in a friend safari again- She's really cute, and I named her Lily in memory of my dog who unfortunately had to be put down yesterday. I felt the name fit since my dog was named after a flower.

I just ran into a shiny Hawlucha in the friend safari! Holy shit this thing's shiny form is so amazing. I named her El Diablo because she looks like an evil version of regular Hawlucha, haha.

 

Lately I've been hunting for a shiny Breloom in a safari. While doing that just a few minutes ago, I found myself a shiny Throh instead. Not a Pokémon I really like, but it's another shiny. Still going to keep looking for that Breloom, though.

 

My first shiny was a Pansage. I've been trying to breed for a shiny Espurr, but my luck isn't very good when it comes to shinies...

 

I finally got a shiny Ponyta after 34 eggs.
*insert shiny ponyta copypasta here*
Can't decide whether I should evolve it or not. Rapidash's silver flames look great and all but Ponyta's blue fiery mane looks so much better...

 

I was the member who caught the shiny Zigzagoon that Finnick mentioned on the first page. She's now a shiny Linoone sitting in my box.

I also got a shiny Abra which is now an Alakazam and Floatzel from the Safari, Eevee through Masuda Method (which is now a beautiful Umbreon <3) and Luvdisc from a friend. I've been hunting Torchic for a while now: 480 eggs and stil nothing.

 

I got a Shiny Lampent just over a week ago in the Friend Safari and hatched a Shiny Eevee through the Masuda Method tonight ^.^

 

After a few days of finding nothing, my patience has paid off and I found this beautiful creature right here. Sneasel has such a great shiny form, I'm so happy I found one!
