Hello! And welcome to ShiroKyun's MMD discussion and question thread. If you don't know what this program is, please refer to this page and find out exactly what this free software is before I get into some confusing stuff. ​

Ever had an interest in 3D modeling? Not sure where to begin? Wanted to make some really cool 3D animations of your own characters dancing or acting to your favorite music or plot you've made? Well... surely MMD is a pretty good place to start.​

MMD is, yes, a free software, and you can totally download the latest version here to get started. Now, this program can look a little scary upon first encounter! But never fear, I'm here to discuss your creations and help with any questions you have in this thread! Here you can ask, discuss or inquire anyone else who may use this program how to use it, or initially, what you can do with it. And honestly? There's a lot. But we'll get into that!​

Ahhh, TDA as a pmd file. I'm sure there is one available for download if you keep searching forever... but want to know the greatest way to render PMX TDA models into PMD?

This little button rrriiiight here. (Located in the latest version of PMX )

PMX can load PMD and PMX models, therefore, can also export them as such. When you click "export" it should come up as a normal save. Instead of just saving it, change the model's end name to .pmd! Example would be instead of "ShiroKyun.pmx" simply backspace pmx and save as "ShiroKyun.pmd". As far as I know, this only works in the latest version of PMX, and lacks to work in the english version of PMD.

If done correctly, your TDA model should convert to PMD perfectly, and be able to open in PMD! For safety's sake, I recommend keeping the PMX of your model juuust in case. Let me know if it works!

 

Oh I see ! If that's the case, simply link me the model you would like me to convert for you and I'll do that right away! It's odd pmx doesn't work on your computer, but I understand. It's pretty buggy for me at times. Just send the model my way! If you have anymore questions feel free to let me know <3

Just click the download up top, the PMD file is in the ZIP. I STRONGLY recommend keeping all of the pmd's toons and textures in the same file as it, so wherever you plan to move it, make sure to move all that with it, or else the model will turn all white upon being placed in PMD! @ _ @ It's very annoying.. But with that said, good luck!! I hope this helps!

It is really fun!! Haha, and not really major, just your average upgrade of effects and models getting better and better. Some MMD videos look really beautiful... and you should definitely make some more and show us all!
