    [background=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4)]Are there any singers and bands that are out right now that were good back in the day but now they're not just as great? [/background]

    [background=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4)]Please post. I am interested in people's opinions.[/background]

    That sort of depends on your definition of "died out." Do you means old bands that never disbanded but still make music (but very rarely, and the music is just good, not great) or bands that used to make good music but now just suck (or are just one hit wonders)?

    For the first definition I think of Smash Mouth, Good Charlotte, and Blink-182. And there are thousands of possible answers for the second definition. The first definition too has a lot of possible answers too if you want to consider bands like The Who, Aerosmith, AC/DC, etc... I personally don't think these 3 make weaker music now but their album releases don't seem to garner as much attention as they used to, mostly I think because (coughlowerqualitycough) musical tastes of the currently most vocal audience.

    I really shouldn't post at 1:30am, I'm rambling incoherently.

    Miley Cyrus went nuts after leaving home. Enough has been said.
    Kesha hasn't disappeared though. Warrior did well, and I heard Crazy Kids and Die Young on the radio a lot.

    Back in the day, people didn't let the radio stations shove bad music down people's throats :P I hate how "hit" stations insist on playing every Justin Bieber song and every One Direction song and every Katy Perry song, like they don't even realize what they're playing.

    I was gonna say Green Day, But now that I think about, no they aren't dying. They are my favorite band of all time and I think their rivals, Likin Park have died. Hands down.

    Marilyn Manson. I'll always love the older stuff, 1994-2003 era but the recent stuff is lackluster and really not cared about. He used to be a hot button item, a scapegoat, a real force in pop culture, and his shit had substance. Lately the things he produces feel completely hollow by comparison. It feels like where before he had things to say and a style came out of that, he now produces to live up to a style and the substance is gone.

    Decyfer Down, their first album was GREAT, second was ok, and third was pretty bad.

    I know Matchbox Twenty's newer stuff isn't the best; I feel like their stuff back in the 90's is better. And let's not get started how hard Carly Rae Jepsen fell when she released her second full length album.
