Event Sinister Showdown Battle Thread

Sign ups are over and the tournament has begun! Here is the randomly generated tournament bracket for the event, which will be updated periodically as battles are completed. You might notice that it's a bit lopsided, but that's only because we had an odd number of entrants. Let me know if you have any questions about how the match ups work.



The rules from the sign up thread are listed below, along with the list of eligible Pokémon, in case you want to make any substitutions between matches. A few Pokémon were removed from the list due to redundancy with the eligible types. So for instance, Ariados was listed previously, even though it would have been eligible already due to being a poison type. All of the Pokémon that were removed from the list are still allowed under the eligible types.

• Paras, Parasect, Drowzee, Hypno, Mr. Mime, Jynx, Hothoot, Noctowl, Aipom, Ambipom, Lotad, Lombre, Ludicolo, Masquerain, Lunatone, Chimecho, Glalie, Huntail, Salamence, Shinx, Luxio, Luxray, Mothim, Probopass, Cresselia, Simisear, Woobat, Swoobat, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Galvantual, Elgyem, Beeheeyem, Stunfisk, All Kyurem forms, Braixen, Delphox, Vivillon, Espurr, Meowstic, Litten, Torracat, Crabrawler, Crabominable, Dewpider, Araquanid, Bruxish, Necrozma (base form only).
• All mega forms of eligible Pokémon are allowed.

If you want to check to make sure your team is tournament-legal to avoid a potential accidental disqualification, I highly recommend asking me to look over your teams before you have your matches.

Spoiler: Rules

- All battles will be done on Pokémon Showdown, under the US/UM singles, anything goes format.
- Between battles, you’ll be able to switch out up to 2 of your Pokémon, but the rest of your team must stay the same.
- You can have only one Uber tier Pokémon on your team at one time (check this list if you’re not sure):

- You can only have one mega on your team at one time.
- Entries for the tournament closes October 19th at midnight.
- Tournament matchups will be chosen at random and a full schedule will be posted in a new battle thread on October 20th.
- Battle winners must post the replay of the battle in the battle thread.
- All of these rules will also be made available on the battle thread.

You're welcome to coordinate with your opponents for a time to battle whenever you'd like. Let's aim to get the whole tournament done by the end of the week though.

Can you guys both also post the teams you used for your battle here? Just a list of the Pokémon is fine.
