Skyfall

I thought this was the second best of the most recent 3... everyone forgets Quantum of Solace because it was terrible. Skyfall was fairly good, I loved some of the shots they made in it. Lots and lots of light and dark, and other contrasting scenes.

I especially loved the scenes in Shanghai and Asia. Bond girl was definitely best looking in Skyfall, though. Even though they killed her before the audience could even decide what to feel for her, so her death was very... wasted, almost.

I still can't help but feel that I preferred Casino Royale, though.

 

Mixed reviews? Man, it's got one of the top ratings on Rottentomatoes and is considered one of the top three Bond films ever. I dug Casino Royale, but not big on Poker so I preferred Skyfall. Mendes is a fantastic emotional director (American Beauty?) but I was blown away with how well he had his action scenes. When the back half of the train rips off and he makes that insane leap, lands, shoots his cuffs, and keeps walking like it was no big deal, it was epic.

 

I didn't really understood the previous two Bond films namely: Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. But I recall, I didn't have the interest to watch those. And now, that I'm a college boy, I can relate and understand more clearly. Skyfall is the best of the three if you ask me. The suspense, the action, the story, it's not that amazing but it's worth watching. Sad ending though...

Loved this movie. Easily the best of the three Craig movies, and the best Bond film I've seen in I dunno how long. I've seen just about all of the Connery-Lazenby-Moore-Dalton ones, and...admittedly I'm still missing the Brosnan Bonds, but from the bits I've seen of them they look to be a bit lacking in the wry humor area.

Favorite part of Skyfall?

1: The reveal of the Estate.

2: DAT GARAGE ESCAPE SCENE WITH THE OLD STYLE TWANGY MUSIC. Not gonna lie; I squealed in the theater when he opened that door and turned the lights on.
