How do you sleep LV? Do you have a sleep disorder? Does it take a while or do you just pass out quickly?

I don't get insomnia often, but I have the next best thing: sleep apnea. I stop breathing in my sleep. This means that I am not well rested when I wake up because I'm always getting up to breathe. Sometimes I'll be near sleep and have to wake up fully to breathe.

    What about you?

Well, I don't have insomnia or anything like that, but it still takes me a while to get to sleep.
I'll just be lying in my bed, not moving or thinking about anything, but I don't feel tired. Then I close my eyes, and the next thing I know, it's 6 AM the next day
It might have something to do with the fact that I sleep on a mattress on the floor, but I doubt that's the case, since sleeping in a bed gives the same result.

My sleep pattern is far too robust for my own good. It doesn't really seem to matter when I will go to sleep, or even if I struggle a bit trying to get to sleep. I will always wake up at the same time each morning, regardless of how many hours of sleep I may have acquired that night. Sometimes I will wake up so early (6.15am, usually) that I'll have to force myself to sleep in just to get an extra hour in or so. Unfortunately, that has been happening a lot more frequently. I have no idea why.

I just have a messed up sleep schedule. The main problem is that I don't hit the point when I'm actually tired enough to fall asleep until much later than I need to be asleep by to wake up at a functional time and feel alive. Combine that with the how much I need to feel alive and you get issues with being able to wake up for school and what not.

My other problem is that I can't not sleep under a blanket. I live in a relatively cold part of the world, so I sleep under a heavy blanket most of the year, but during the summer I overheat under a blanket and just feel awkward without a blanket, so it's a lose lose situation.

I often sleep only 0-3 hours a day. I work the night shift, from 8 PM to 8 AM, and with an apartment complex full of noisy, obnoxious children, finding time to sleep is very difficult. I've done this sleeping pattern for over a year, so I am adjusted for small amounts of sleep. When I have a day off, I usually pass out for 8-15 hours (which destroys my days off). Lately, though, I had an infected toe and I ended up sleeping 10 hours every day for about two weeks. Now that my toe is about 95% better, I'm quickly getting back into my 3 hours of sleep a day mode.

    I can't imagine what that'd be like...
I mean, I can go without sleeping for a while, but only 3 hours a day, and so often? During the holidays, when my family and I went away, I usually did this, but that's just because there was super-fast free wifi at the resort we stayed at, so it was totally worth it.
That's another thing I should mention, if there's any sort of internet connection available to me, I will prioritise that over sleep.

I sleep well with around a solid 6 - 8 hours if I have no plans the next morning. My sleep doesn't get interrupted 99% of the time. If it does, it's usually because I left the lights on. The only thing I wish to change about my sleeping behavior is my sleep schedule; I tend to sleep and get up late. I have a possible solution to that, and that is to limit my computer usage before bedtime. That's going to be very challenging...

I always have a hard time getting to sleep. Sometimes I'm so exhausted from physical labor that I'm too tired to fall asleep. I mean how does that work? Anyway, my problem is that my mind is always thinking. Always. No exceptions. Sometimes I need to bore myself to sleep with reading or watching old cartoons, but the process of physically moving to turn off my computer is enough to wake me up again. Maybe once I get a smartphone I can more easily bore myself to sleep and stay that way.

The thing is, no matter what time I go to bed or go to sleep, I wake up at 6:30 AM without my alarm. Last night I was asleep by 11:30 or so and wanted to sleep until 10:00 to bounce back from the week, but nope, woke up at 6:30. It's a shame too, because I need to be up and moving by 6:00 to get to work on time, so it's not even useful that I wake up automatically at that time.

My sleep is quite normal, actually. I always fall asleep pretty fast and once I'm out I will stay out until my alarm clock goes off or until I wake up on days I can sleep in. I sleep incredibly solidly, almost nothing wakes me up in the middle of the night. As for how long, I try to get to bed around 11-11:30. Then I wake up at 5:45 for work each morning. Its maybe a little less than I'd want, but Saturdays I stay up late and sleep in and catch up on sleep a bit.

I have horrible insomnia, it takes me hours to fall asleep no matter how tired I am. It's really frustrating because I hate laying around feeling like I'm wasting my time when I know I just can't sleep. So I end up running on empty for awhile until I pass out and sleep for 10+ hours. A vicious cycle.

I have a very normal schedule. Kind of hard not to since my family expect me to be awake during the day and do things that need doing, like cooking and other chores. I sleep at around 12:30AM and wake somewhere around 9AM if I don't have anywhere to be.

Sleep apnea sounds a bit similar to me too though. 8[ Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air and it's always scary since I feel like I'll run out of breath. Not sure if it's anxiety-induced (though my anxiety is very minimal so it's hard to tell).. but it's not fun. Happens maybe once every two weeks.

    Don't know why I didn't post before.

But yeah, I have horrible insomnia. I stay up all hours of the night every day of the week, not just weekends. I'm trying to fix up my sleep schedule though. Not going well however.

I've had insomnia in some form or another since I was in about fourth or fifth grade. In fifth grade I would lie awake in bed until midnight or so, get up and watch tv untill 2 to 4 in the morning then finally go to sleep, wake up at 6 am to go to school, run around like a maniac all day, come home and later go back to bed at around 8:30 and the process would repeat every day FOR A MONTH!!! I still require meds to get to sleep to this day and now I'm almost 26. Insomnia, story of my life ladies and gentlemen.

It's very hard for me to fall asleep until I'm practically passed out from tiredness. I'm afraid of the dark, and even with my night-light I feel on edge. And when I DO fall asleep, I usually suddenly jerk awake for no reason several times throughout the night. I sleep so much better during the day, but it's tough to get a chance to sleep during the day because my family is so noisy.

I sleep normally. I make sure to go to bed about 9:30-10:30ish and typically get up at about 5. I'm an early riser, so I make sure to go to bed early to get my 7-8 hours.
