Calling back to a conversation had at the Lunch table, I thought I'd turn this into a topic.

What are your sleeping habits like? Do you get to sleep easily, or with great difficulty? Have you been known to talk in your sleep? For how long would you sleep?

I always interchange between having ease to get to sleep, and having great difficulty. I do sometimes talk in my sleep, as well as move a lot apparently, and I either sleep for a long time or a short time, but never between! XD

I can get to sleep pretty quickly if I want to, but if I want to do other things such as play Pokémon or browse the internet, It's more a matter of how hard it is to stay awake. I can also sleep through a lot of noise, yet at the same time I can be a very light sleeper. Yeah, I don't know how that works... I don't think I talk in my sleep since I don't even talk in most of my dreams. I've had different responses when I've asked people if I snore; some say yes, some say no.

I actually have a horrible case of insomnia, as well as circadian rhythm sleep dysfunction, sleep apnea, and delayed sleep phase disorder. I sleep about two hours a night on average, and those two hours are filled with me repeatedly asphyxiating.

Once I do fall asleep, I'm out. Nothing can easily wake me. Even when something does manage to wake me, I'm not actually coherent. I'm known to "wake up" and then sleepwalk for up to half an hour before suddenly becoming alert and wondering where I am and how I got out of my bed.

I usually sleep for 4-5 hours regardless of what time I sleep at. I can usually sleep with ease if I lay down and stop paying attention to whatever is happening (this usually occurs when I'm watching anime). I don't think I snore considering I've fallen sleep during calls with the mic not on mute, and no one has pointed it out to me.
For some reason I wake up extremely early on days when I don't need to wake up, and can't wake up when I actually have to go somewhere. It's really bothersome.
However, I really need to establish more sleep, or I'll never survive this way.

Ah, sleep... If there's one part of the day I particularly dislike, it must be the time when I sleep. For all my life, I've had trouble with falling asleep. I spent over two hours trying to fall asleep before actually sleeping, which instantly meant I didn't sleep much in general. Nowadays, I still deal with the same issues, though I don't really see it as a problem anymore. I sleep an average of 4 to 5 hours per day, and to me, that's just enough. I don't feel too tired during the day, and it doesn't limit my activities, so I don't see the problem. Besides, I have so many things to do per day, I honestly really don't have time to sleep more.

But there's one thing I should work on... In the past month, I slept at my desk almost as much as I slept in my actual bed. I really should try to remember to go to bed before falling asleep xD

I toss and turn quite a lot before I finally fall asleep, and even then, it's in some weird position. Also when I'm at friends' houses, I've been told I talk in my sleep. XD

Madness. :'( That sounds like a huge pain.

My sleeping habits are.. pretty all right and very much normal, I'd say. I go to bed between 12-1AM and get up from 9 to 10AM assuming I've nowhere to be, though unfortunately I wake badly more often than not. Just always seem to be groggy and tired no matter what I do; it's really annoying. That and I've woken up in the middle of the night gasping for air so that might need checking out at some point, though I'm assuming it's just due to taking short breaths or sleeping in a less-than-ideal position. Wuhh.

Doesn't help that I'm a very light sleeper too. <~<; Birds chirping is enough to make me unable to sleep lol. All the lights need to be out too or I'll go absolutely crazy.

Unlike seemingly a lot of people, I regain full conciousness within seconds of waking up. There have been times when someone so much as opens my door and I spring out of bed, fully aware of where I am, who the person is and what I should be doing. All within 5 seconds.
The main thing that can keep me from falling asleep is when I have an itch or a cold or some other injury/illness. Mosquitos are a big offender of itch causing.

I'm a bit of a night owl. I have trouble going to sleep, and no matter how many hours I get, I'm always tired.

When I consciously want to go to sleep, I'm often unable to. But when I'm simply lying in bed and thinking about certain things in particular, I'll sometimes fall asleep without meaning to. A couple of times, doing that has led to me falling asleep on the floor, at school, and just about any other place imaginable. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, though, and sometimes don't catch my alarm when I bother to set one. I'll admit that I used to drool a little, but have at least gotten better about that... ;; My sleep schedule is pretty wacked on any day that isn't a weekday, so I often stay up for the entire night until about five or six in the morning - a habit I ought break, but can't.

It usually takes me quite a while to get comfortable, I toss and turn and toss and turn and move all about before finally getting comfy... then it tends to take me anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours to finally completely fall asleep. x.x

I don't talk in my sleep as far as I know, in fact I'm the only one in my immediate family who doesn't have some weird sleeping thing like that. My dad snores a ton and used to talk very loudly in his sleep (not sure if he still does), my mom talks in her sleep, my sister sleep walks and sleep talks, my other sister sleep talks and used to have crazy night terrors. I guess I'm lucky?...

How long I sleep depends on way too many things, I can't say for sure! But if I'm left alone, with no responsibilities, no alarms, and no weird dreams, I have been known to sleep for like 15 hours lmao

My sleeping habits are a little odd. Recently I've been staying up until about 3 am so that my body's nice and tired and falls asleep quickly. I'll then wake up around 9-10 am and depending on how motivated I am, climb out of bed anywhere from 10-12. But I'm on break now, so this'll have to change once I get back to school.

I used to take an hour to fall asleep, but staying up later has helped reduce the amount of time I fall asleep in. I don't talk or walk in my sleep, but my mom has a story from when I was a lot younger of when I apparently sleptwalked when we were staying at Great Wolf Lodge. I'm pretty sure I don't snore, and I really hope I don't inherit my dad's snoring. I swear he could wake a hibernating bear. It makes sleeping in the same camper a pain.

I take some hours to get to sleep.
Usually it's like I go to bed early, wake at midnight and stay awake an hour or so, then back to bed the rest of the night :P

I sleep at about 10pm and awake around 6am, getting a healthy 8 hours. I tend to fall asleep easily and sleep very soundly (I sleep through storms with no trouble and have been able to do this camping multiple times, one time including added noise from horses), but the problem is my dreams. They are either a) extremely realistic, b) incredibly meaningful after I check what certain symbols mean and they tend to reflect my real life scenarios or c) incredibly scary. Some instances include all 3. I try to learn from my symbolic and realistic dreams, trying to apply what I've learned to real life and possibly spotting patterns in my dreams to achieve lucid dreaming (this is the best thing ever). It's the scary ones that get me. When I have a nightmare it's almost always absolutely horrible, and usually involves the mass slaughter of loved ones, whether it be via assassins or a giant mech. Either that or I'm isolated somewhere being attacked by a threat, like in a sub with a shark. It's the former scenario that scares me more as these dreams often seem real and make me even more worried. It's not pleasant.

I hate having to go to bed, but I love to sleep and don't like getting up early. Silly as it might sound, I'm actually an aspiring lucid dreamer/astral projector, so sometimes I try out different things to get myself relaxed when drifting off to sleep... if I can remember to, anyhow. But otherwise, it takes me a little while to get comfortable in bed; I'd had an orthopedic surgery on my left leg in 2013 + suffer with bone cysts in that area from time to time, so I can't sleep on that side at all. It's okay, though, since my right side is a little stronger than my left anyway. I usually sleep soundly once I do finally drift off, but only catch about 4-5 hours of sleep every night because I go to bed late without meaning to. I tend to either have no dreams at all each night, or silly, weird dreams, such as being turned into characters from video games I like.

It's 3am as I type this aahaha. Some days I get to bed earlier than others, but some days it takes me a lot longer to fall asleep. It's frustrating for me to go to bed when I know I'm not tired so i try to avoid it.

I get around 6-7 hours on average.

My weekday sleep habits are good, I go to bed at 10:30 and wake up at 6:15, it's not all too bad. Sometimes I even wake up before my alarm and get a few more minutes in.

My weekend sleep habits are...not as good. Let me put it this way. I went to bed at 1:30AM and woke up at 9:30 this morning.
