Sludge Bomb Zoroark?

Like Karz said,, I'll only get it if it comes to me. But if it does, I'm going to make sure I reset over and over for a Modest one, and train it up to destroy every Fairy I encounter!

 

I'm not sure that would be the best idea. Even specs 252+ zoroark doesn't pick up an OHKO, while Florges easily OHKOs you in return. Slurpuff does get OHKO'd, but if it has already belly drummed it will easily outspeed and OHKO you. And it can OHKO whimsicott, but Flamethrower could do that before. And that's all the fairies in the tier. If you intend to use it in OU, Gardevoir and Sylveon survive and OHKO, and even though Azu gets KO'd Zoroark doesn't appreciate an Aqua Jet. I think you'd be better off having a dedicated fairy counter/special wall.

I don't really think this will make a huge difference to usage unfortunately, which sucks because I think the idea behind Zoroark is awesome. I think it just needs too much support to be viable.

 

Oh wow, I didn't even know there was a Zoroark event out. Definitely gonna get it, ahaha.

While I doubt that Zoroark will see any more competitive use, Sludge Bomb is a decent coverage move to have. Though I probably won't use it when I get it, I have a much better IV-bred one already that's more personal to use, if that makes sense?

But it is a cool event, so I'll be sure to pick it up tonight!

 

I managed to get the Zoroark event yesterday, and it's pretty good, even though I wished that Game Freak and the others could make Sludge Bomb learn-able for Zorua lines in future games because Sludge Bomb is a TM move, and a fairly decent one at that. I'm glad that it was given such an appropriate move to counter its weakness.

 

Despite a gud coverage move, Zoroark suffers more from its stats than movepool.

It is way too frail no matter what you give it, as priority and faster mons easily okho it.

And fairy types r pretty much shut down by most steel types and a couple fire types, so a Zoroark team should be able to get fairies out of the way.

Sludge bomb is a step up, but the only thing that would make it ou or evne uber is a well needed MEGA.

 

I already have a shiny zoroark bred, so I think I'll just reset for a good nature and keep it in a box for eternity.

I really wish they had just released an update allowing zoroark to learn the sludge bomb tm or something >.> I also really hope this random event zoroark is a sign of it getting a mega or something. It needs a boost of some kind so it doesn't get destroyed so easily.

 

Sludge Bomb will improve Zoroark, but not enough.

Zoroark has never been a terrible Pokémon, but the main issue facing it is that it's very frail and can't really take a hit with its 60/60/60 defenses. It's also not very fast for a glass cannon, and has very few resistances. I think a Mega Zoroark would be pretty cool but I'm not sure how it would work on top of illusion.

 

I don't think Sludge Bomb will help Zoroark too much. It's still very frail...
