So let's say releasing Pokemon became possible...

I have a couple Pokémon named "Test Pokémon" with a number next to them that I would get rid of as I don't like them, I just caught them for data.

 

I suppose I would release... None.
Gotcha there, didn't I?
But the reason for that is that they're all just eggs and I don't want 'em to end up in the cold outside world... I'm not that heartless.

 

Well, I won't tell Pokéchild-protective-services on you or anything, don't you worry. *sneakily reaches for phone*

 

Guess, I will be that cruel to release eggs. I only need Articuno and the rest is just too much. I would trade them if I could, but alas.

 

I would probably release the ones I don’t really like to keep only Pokémon I like more.

Spoiler: If we had to choose right now, I’d probably release these

Looky, Syai, Woowie, Tymie, Bloot, Ballie, Cora, Dadillidadoo, Grouam, Nowie, Packsie, Fabby and Why.

There are some I have right now that I don’t really like but as I like their evolutions I’d keep them to evolve them.
Also I may hatch wow first egg someday.

 

I would release any dupe Pokémon XD I dont need 5 alolan vulpixes or alolan sandshrews

 

I don't think I'd release any Pokémon. I'm very picky about which ones I catch so I really don't regret any that I have in my collection. (actually I still have a long list of Pokémon I have yet to catch! but that's a different story.)

 

:: Anything I caught that I mistakenly thought was common, but wasn't.
:: My initial Magneton that I caught, if only because I have a shiny version now. (Any subsequent shiny catches will impose the same fates on the originals.)
:: Assuming trading never becomes an option, every single non-duplicate of those stupid Eggs.

I probably won't release my duplicate Missingno., because it's about making a statement - a statement of how much I'm willing to suffer for the sake of data collection.

 

I got a little egg crazy and have far too many now hahah. So it'd be them.

 

I'd probably get rid of some these Azelfs haha.

I totally forgot I had those. I hadn't thought much about them because I was referencing their nicknames towards Final Fantasy titles.
I probably should get rid of the excess.

You can edit a Pokémon's nickname freely. On its name there will be an icon that looks like a pen inside a square. Click that and it'll bring up a text box to edit (you might have to click your mouse on it to make it appear). From there you can change the name, and hit Enter to finalise your change.
