Say that you wake up one morning and you (somehow) find out you are now immortal. What would you do? Oh and btw, you still feel pain, but you would regenerate any lost limbs and such.
Call me boring, but I think I would just continue living my life as I normally would. Maybe I would be a little more daring, especially as more and more time passes, and I would probably decide to do something else with myself when I don't feel satisfied with my immortal life, but at least at the start, it would just be life as usual.
I probably wouldn't do anything crazy. I'm not that adventurous. But it gives me more time to visit other countries.
I'd probably jump into a volcano, fly straight into the sun, or do not do my homework. So, just more dangerous stuff I guess. I wouldn't even want to be immortal, now that I think about it.
I can see myself wanting to have a physical memory of the people I care about, because I would be guaranteed to outlive them all. On another note, being able to injure yourself knowing you will regenerate could invoke some extra ‘creativity’ for a horror-themed costume...though with all the pain I’d be in, it probably wouldn’t be worth it.
I'd probably be like "okay, cool, I can grow limbs" and then instantly get caught and then be used for scientific experiments and then live there in limbo and go insane. The only difference between me and your average human test subject in fiction is that they break out. I can't.
I would work a full time job for many years until I could buy a potato farm. Then, I would go to the fields and be a happy potato forever. The end.
It would probably be a little weird but I could donate all my organs and keep regrowing them endlessly.
I would dedicate everything I had into making a self sustaining biosphere orbiting around earth so I could live the rest of my days away from humans (thus not losing my mind to outliving everyone I care about) Then I'd spend the rest of my days caring for the biosphere, watching games and anime until the sun explodes, then I'll have a really bad time.
I would keep coming here and other favorite sites. I would also continue playing Pokémon and gather more games when possible.
Not to be boring, but I'd just keep on living. At least my terrible fear of death would be gone. I'd probably make friends, read lots of books, watch lots of shows, earn some money, you know. Fly under the radar and do what makes me happy.
This may sound weird, but immortality is kind of my lifelong dream (man, that`s a pun in and of itself.) If I were ever to achieve it, well, let`s just say that the adventure would never stop.
I would do my best to become a non-super hero. With unlimited survivability, I won't need to care about my own safety. I could spend all day for years training and studying until I reach absolute perfection of mind and body, trying my best to become IRL Batman or Green Arrow or Wildcat. Bruh, you can't die and you still feel pain. It's going to suck, trying to climb out of a volcano as your limbs continually char and re-grow and you're breathing scorching toxic fumes. As for the sun, you're going to roast for all eternity, forever, and nobody will ever even be able to check in on you, let alone get you out. Might be fun for the minutes or hours it takes to get there, but still... It's kind of gorey and adult, but there's a manga called "Ajin" that you might like. It's about, well, people stuck in that kind of circumstance. It's very well-written, and I'd even read a non-graphic novel of it.
Honestly, I would probably be less likely to do more dangerous stuff. Dying, dying is actually something I feel I wouldn't mind. Pain? Yeah, that's a no go. Unless there was the slightest chance I'm around with one of my family or friends about to be hit with something(like a car or bullet or something) and I'm not completely frozen on the spot like a coward, then there's a good chance I wouldn't ever risk using it.
