    Sonic Mania was recently revealed during the Sonic anniversary celebration stream. This game takes the best elements of the original three Sonic games plus some elements from Sonic CD and Knuckles' Chaotix to create a love letter to classic Sonic fans. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this game. They are plenty of gameplay video on youtube to help you form your opinion.

    I personally am very impressed with what I've seen from the game. It looks like they are really nailing the classic Sonic feel. The levels we've seen look like a ton of fun to play. I'll be looking forward to seeing how the game progresses in the coming months!

    I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually think Sonic Mania will be the return to the classics that we've wanted for so long. For once, I have hope in an upcoming Sonic game.

    Maybe this'll finally save the franchise somewhat. They must've realized trying new things doesn't work and their old games were the best and sold the best. This game will probably be very good but it's kinda sad it had to be made since they probably wouldn't have to resort to making a game in the old style if their new ideas had caught on and were succesful. Depending on the price, I might buy it, since I do like the old 2D Sonic games.

    I think this all depends on how much time they spend on it. If Sega are thorough and work well though it this could be an amazing game and as a sonic fan one that I'm anticipating greatly. However numerous things could go wrong with this and it could have a case of "Movie Trailer Syndrome" where all the good things are in the trailers. I'm looking forward to it. if Sega really take their time on this, the game might be up there with the originals and sonic colours.

    Sonic Mania is a very safe move by Sega that will be appreciated by fans for sure. Taking the elements of what made each original game fun and shoving them into one big celebration is definitely a showoff of what they plan to do. This will cover up any tracks they have made out of line recently and will be a precursor to anything that may be great or wrong with Project Sonic 2017. Overall, I will definitely play it and look forward to seeing how they prove themselves through this.
