Yesh!! A Sonic discussion!! =D lol

For me, my favorite Sonic game would be a tie between Sonic Adventure DX & Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I absolutely love playing with the chao garden in both game. Those guys are really adorable. <3 As for the first game, my goodness it was long time ago when the Genesis were out and it was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (when Tails was introduced ) I'm still hoping for any of the sonic games to bring back the chao gardens. That was a lot of fun. Collecting items/animals for your chao, raising them and the events you can do with them. =3 My least favorite game would be Sonic Chronicle. The whole story and ending didn't even make sense!! And to top it off, you have to start the whole game over again when you complete it. D=< Oh well. In series wise, I think it's gone down hill, although I really like Sticks in the Sonic Boom series. x3 She's funny.

 

I tend to avoid Sonic, mostly because of the fanbase... *Shiver*

I played Sonic Heroes a lot as a kid, but never finished it. I've seen Game Grumps play and mock the games, which I find quite funny. XD
In my opinion, It's going downhill. The games ar just...Bad! Heheh.

But one thing you can never deny: The music is awesome.

 

I played some of the earlier Sonic games on the Sega Genesis, and I really enjoy those.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one when I say this: Sonic is going way downhill. I played 2 sonic demos recently and I found that both of them were just not good at all. I'm done playing the new Sonic games, that's for sure.

 

I remember playing Sonic Free Riders for Kinect around 2011. It was certainly a fun game, it was the first game I got for my Xbox. It was like mixing just dance and mario kart together, and it somehow worked!

 

I started with old Sonic on my uncle's Game Gear, I think this is where I started to enjoy the series. SAB2 followed me during my whole childhood. I was in a sort of Darmanitan transe mode when I played. With some friends, we were used to come to my place after school and we raised our chaos, good old times...

I'm a bit deceived by the recent Sonic games, it's like Sega lost the thing, trying other concepts again and again (excepted for Sonic Generations).

 

So we have Mario Kart, a successful Kart Racer who tends to keep its reputation for fun racing with family and friends. But what if you don't have a nintendo console to play Mario Kart and you want a similar experience on your Xbox or Playstation? Well look no further, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing is the game for you. A Sega kart racing crossover title, think smash bros but with only cars/karts and Sega Characters. The game started out as an actual unique experience, it offered cool power ups, and different game mechanics compared to majority of the Mario Kart games. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Transformed takes the original and makes it even more unique, making laps and the race as a whole a completely different experience. Think Mario Kart 7 only legit cool stuff. These games offer the same unique fun, a bunch of awesome Characters, and a bunch of cool DLC (The PC version of Transformed has the biggest DLC selection I have ever seen, it even has DLC for one of the YogCast Members, that is wicked cool ).

I played all stars racing transformed with a friend once and I didn't think it was all that fun. It is def a game that I'm not going to go out and buy and play in the future even though it did have its fun moments.

 

I have obviously played Sonic Games before, i originally had a youtube channel called SonicUpdater (which still exists today) and have stuck with the series for a very long time. As of late for me though Sonic has been dying. Sega hasn't made any real extreme effort to improve on the franchise or to make a proper and solid game. Sonic Boom was just an utter failure and flop, and just by far was a bad call on Sega's part. If you want to know how big of a mess that game was, you should see one of Stephen Frosts (One of the leads on Sonic Boom) Interviews as he explains every big mistake the company made when developing this game. Sonic Runners is an ok start this year, but none the less I just hope whatever is next in planning, it better ignore Sonic Boom for awhile.

 

I have merged the topics Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic All Stars Racing (Transformed) together. The latter isn't quite a game series, but fits into the Sonic series, and can contribute to the discussion here.

 

If I had to choose, my favorite is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I love the chaos in the gardens and how you have so many ways to customize them and so many ways to power them. My least would have to be Sonic Generations, 1. To many plot holes that make no sense 2. I barely play any sonic games, I only watch the series XD
