For me that would be Imagine Dragons, I've been sold on their style of music ever since I first heard it.
Listening to a lot of Celtic Woman at the moment. It is really interesting to hear that kind of music.
Lindsey Stirling for more modern music, and then a whole bunch of bands from the 70s and 80s. Just to name a few, I love Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, and Bon Jovi.
Thats tough. I like a lot of artists from the 60s. The Mamas & The Papas, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, The Monkees, The Ronettes, The Association, Cream, The Seekers, Pink Floyd, The Shirelles, Harper's Bizarre, Herman's Hermits, The Easybeats, The 5th Dimension, the list goes on. Loving The Groop and The Cowsills at the moment too! I listen to metal as well, and some of my favourite bands are Powerwolf, Equilibrium (their melodies are super catchy), Judas Priest, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Sleep, Blood Ceremony, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, and Eluveitie. My favourite rock bands would be Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Gentle Giant, Rush, Fleetwood Mac, Shocking Blue, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Jethro Tull. Other artists I like are ABBA, Of Monsters and Men, Florence + The Machine, Ariel Pink, Carpenters, and Foxygen. I guess if I was only able to pick two of the mentioned artists above, then I'd have to say my absolute favourites are The Mamas & The Papas and ABBA.
Not really a band/artist person, most of the things I listen to are usually from movies and musicals. Usually just Disney, Phantom of the Opera, Little Shop or Horrors, anime music, etc. I have really weird taste in music, I know.
I could go on for a long time (who couldn't), but I have two recommendations right now: Omnium Gatherum and Stic Man. Both are strangely positive examples of typically aggressive music styles. Omnium Gatherum is Finnish heavy metal that is really, really upbeat and positive. New World Shadows was a rather melancholy album (and most of what came before it is trash), but Beyond and These Gray Heavens were both generally pretty happy or psychologically peaceful. Give a listen to "Living in Me" and "Frontiers". They both just really good, happy songs. Stic Man is one half of the Dead Presidents hip hop duo, and his The Workout project is a necessity. It's all focused on confidence, growth, health, and positivity, and is generally very clean, though also keeps with the usual macho toughness of most hip hop. "The Way of Life" is my favorite right now, but "Champion" and "Warrior Codes" are also certainly worth a listen. This is my jam when I go beast mode while training.
LINDSEY STIRLING IS AMAZING AND SO AWESOME I SAW HER LIVE IN CONCERT AND IT WAS AMAZING!! I REALLY WANT TO MEET HER AND TALK TO HER AND TELL HER HOW SHE KINDA CHANGED MY LIFE!!
I really, really like Mumford & Sons. Their acoustic rock tracks are super catchy and interesting to listen to if you pay attention to the lyrics.
I have a lot of favorites, and I go through musical phases. Just got out of a Bowie one, and I'm sort of drifting from artist to artist right now. David Bowie is absolutely one of my all-time favorites - his music is brilliant, and so is all of his multimedia devices. I also really enjoy the Punch Brothers, a generally bluegrass band including some of the best strings musicians I've ever heard and an amazing vocalist; Regina Spektor, a talented pianist with really pretty lyrics; and U2, with their catchy songs and amazing guitar riffs. (The Beatles are the band that I've called my favorite for the longest, but they need no advocation.)
Currently, I've been really digging TWICE because of their upbeat music, though I'm still waiting on a f(x) comeback. For American artists, I enjoy listening to Bazzi. He has a pretty sweet album.
My favorite band is Linkin Park... but I do listen to so much other stuff it's hard to pin it down to one or two things. Honestly, just type stuff into the search into youtube and you should be able to find something. I usually find music by chance. Have you tried Japanese and foreign music?
