How do you like your food spices? Do you have any favourites, or any that you absolutely cannot stand? Better on sweet foods, or savoury? Are spices better used to season food lightly for a little extra flavour, or to overpower your taste buds to the point that they explode?
I like light spices. I wish I could say I have a high spice tolerance but I am truly the worst when it comes to eating any spicy food. I do like flavorful foods however, turmeric is one of my favorite spices and I can handle chipotle pepper flakes and garlic chili sauce! One spice (well, herb, I guess) that I cannot STAND is coriander. I have the coriander-tastes-like-soap gene and I hate it so much but my family loves it.
I’m Mexican so I love spicy food, if it’s down right. My mom makes great pico de gio. It’s spicy and tastes great. It adds a nice freshness and wake you up in the morning. However, there are some spicy hot sauces that just don’t even taste good. Valentina and Tobasco are good though.
I don't really care, I can handle almost anything. Almost. I hate herbs. I just hate them. I don't care which kind it is, to me it tastes like, well, herb, and that's bad. ...And my favourite is salt, I don't know why though, but I always need that tiny bit of salt in my food.
I don't take anything too spicy, but I can handle some spices. My favourite spice is cinnamon. I put cinnamon on my bread... on my eggs... on my homework...
I use the same 4 spices for most dishes: seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. (But never all 4 at the same time.) A seasoning I don’t like? I haven’t had one I don’t like, but I guess I wouldn’t like something spicy like cayenne.
