So, I have $40 in Target giftcards... And both of these are my top picks for a new Switch game. I've never played Splatoon before and I have some reservations about it, but I know it's multiplayer.
Is there a story mode or single player mode? How is the online community?

    Which would you recommend?

Or should I scrap both and get a pro controller?

Note: I don't have a TV right now. :fuming:

I feel like Xenoblade would be more worth it to you because it would probably last longer in terms of playtime. I know you like RPGs in general too.

You knew I liked RPGs yet you still played me for a fool.

I'm leaning towards Xenoblade, but I also don't know whether or not to wait until my birthday. What if I have two of the same game and Nintendo punches me in the gut?

Honestly I'd say just wait on making any kind of purchase. Pro Controller is kind of unnecessary for the time being if you don't have a TV, at least in my opinion. While I haven't played XC2 to have a say in whether I think you'd enjoy it, it's probably more toward what you want. Splatoon 2 has a singleplayer mode and it's decent enough but it kinda lacking.. especially after having played the Octo Expansion DLC. There's a lot of people here on LV that would love to play with you were you to get it eventually.
