So October is coming soon, got any plans? Decorating with pumpkins and skeletons? Doing the Inktober prompts? Listening to Spooky Scary Skeletons on loop? Buying everything pumpkin spice? Making a Halloween costume? Or just enjoying the season change?
As for Halloween, there's a foreign exchange student in the house, and I'm pretty sure they don't have Halloween where he's from. Because of this, most of my family will most likely be taking him out trick-or-treating, with one of my parents and I staying home to give out candy to all the children in the neighborhood. Most of the other stuff I'm planning is completely unrelated to the month of October, with most of them happening just because my birthday happens to be in October. I won't go into detail about any of that because that would be derailing the thread.
I am ashamed to say... I am not a spooky person. I, however, will be staying up late and potentially doing a little art for it or something. And of course, if LV is doing something, I'll be there for sure!
For the past couple of years of my life, all October means to me is a bunch of marching band competitions. Besides that, I'm not allowed to celebrate Halloween nor do I like spooky or scary things but I will hope that all of you have fun during this month
Since I don't live anywhere where people actually go trick-or-treating, that's probably out. There'll be a party at the local firehouse on Halloween like every year, so that's something to look forward to. Aside from that, there isn't too much that's seasonal that I really want to do this year. Though, since I've already been doing it, I think I'll try to borrow a few more horror movies from the local library and binge through them. Almost done with the Saw movies, need to jump back into Nightmare on Elm Street, and I only got to watch the first Halloween so far, so that should be fun to go through.
Oh, I love the Halloween season. It's such a spooky and fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of opportunities in my area for spooky, but not scary, fun for people my age (Everything seems to be aimed towards children under the age of 10). That won't stop me from celebrating at least a little bit though. I've already started making my costume (I'm not sure why I put so much effort into making costumes when I barely have any opportunities to wear them, but I still like it).
Oh Halloween, this year I'm doing some really scary stuff for October, learning Quantum mechanics. I wont have time for the holidays this year too much work to do and even if I had the free time, I'm just not the kind of person who would go out and do Halloween. I might give out candy, but I don't think I'll participate in any other way.
Making costumes with my parents is always my favorite part of Halloween. It’s enjoyable to find materials and make something that resembles the character. Since I’m not in a busy area, I’m not expecting many trick or treaters though. I tend to get nervous handing out candy, so that might be a good thing.
