What do you think about sports anime? Do you watch any sports anime? If so, what do you watch? Have you found any that you like? If so, what is it?

Although I've only seen one sports anime, I generally only hear negative things about it. I might explore the genre after watching the first few episodes of Haikyu!, which is shaping up to be an excellent show, and it is certainly popular around LV. As somebody who is a big fan of sports in general, I feel as if I could watch some more Sports Anime, especially anime about basketball, because that's my fav sport. Also, if you haven't seen Haikyu! and you like TV at all, I definitely recommend it, it's fantastical so far ^_^.

I've watched Free! and very much enjoyed it. I've seen a bit of Haikyu! but I do plan on watching the whole thing and there is a new sports anime going to come out called Yuri on ice that I want to watch. Generally I don't know about the negative reasons people don't like it but the show give you the sport and wonderful characters, relations, and a good story to go with them. I very much enjoy the little that I've seen of the genre and hope so see more.

I love sports anime shows! They're do dramatic, energetic, and I love how nerdy the characters can be. I always seem to watch anime shows with adorable nerds and shotas. So far one of my favorite sports anime show is Prince of Stride and Haikyuu!

Ohh, I'm a huge fan of sports anime! There are a lot of characters that are often very likable, the setting is one we can identify with easily, the suspense in the game is great (sometimes too great, oops), and perhaps the best thing is: we can feel like part of a team without moving an inch from our couch, bed or chair! Woo!

I've seen multiple sports anime in my life (in fact, my first "real" anime was a sports anime), including Kuroko No Basket (said first), Free!, Haikyuu! and Diamond No Ace (I'm watching the second season while I'm writing this post). I'd say they're a great way to get started on anime - the characters are all fairly realistic and it's easier to watch if you're already familiar with the (concept of the) sports.

I kind of want to start Haikyu! but the one anime I watched last year that really stuck with me is Yuri On Ice!!! (the title has three exclamation points, I'm not overexcited or anything XD) The ice skating is beautiful, and so is Yurio. Enough said.

Does Free! count? Because I started that recently, and it's pretty good. But the real reason I started it was so I could understand the memes, which, to be honest, are pretty funny.

There's only a few, like Inazuma Eleven, Bamboo Blade and Air Gear. I generally like them mostly because they don't just focus on sports.
