Steam games

I have 59 games right now and I've probably spent a total 200-250 dollars on all of them together. That said, yes, I wait for sales. Why buy a game for 60 dollars and each of its DLC for 20 dollars a piece now when I can buy game of the year in 18 months to get the whole thing for like 7.50 or 12.50? People shelled out like 120 USD for Skyrim and its expansions, I got the whole thing for 5 or 10. That's why I love Steam.

The only thing I dislike about Steam is their setup for Workshop mods. They try to automate it with subscription and automatic updates, which ultimately gives less control to the user and just a little bit defeats the purpose of modding on the user end. That and their own DRM often clashes with third-party DRM which causes its own issues on user end for some people. That's more of a problem with services like Uplay than with Steam, though.

I just wish my internet was good enough to play online... I'm talking Saints Row, Terraria, Battle Block Theater, Monaco. My poopy internet is making me miss out on so much Steam multiplayer!

It's pathetic really. The total game time of all these games is still only half of my time spent on Pokémon X alone. Main reason is my computer isn't the best, so I bought a lot of graphically heavy games when they were on sale for when I'd finally invest in a proper gaming PC, which I still haven't done yet. That time will come, mark my words >_> Btw, if you want to calculate your Steam account's worth and stuff, I used this website.

 

Well, I'm not too far down the hole yet, but I'm getting there... not counting sales, we're past $100. And I don't even play a lot of my games, due to having not enough time. I keep telling myself someday. Well... oh well. Ever since you wonderful guys had that raffle for the $50 gc and I picked steam... well I was doomed from the start

 

I don't have any steam games but now that i have a better computer for games, maybe I'll get some. I am especially interested in the library of Final Fantasy games they have on there. Specifically I am interested in FF7 and FF9. Usually PC games don't interest me but hey, you never know when I could get in to some.
