We all carry our problems, our stress differently. How do you handle yours? Would you consider your coping mechanism healthy or unhealthy? What do you recommend for others?

Play video games really, I often just sit down and play video games or maybe watch something silly on YT or an anime.

I like to take a break from the activity that I'm doing and talk to my mum about, it helps me calm down quite a bit and regains some of my confidence. Others ways are simply doing things that relax my, like surfing the net. Oh and also going and playing with my pet budgie, he's super adorable so it really helps me to relax ^^

I let Steam out. I get stress, i talk about it, i rage and shout to myself, go to gym to exhaust me and i dont let it build up.

Dont eat for stress. That is a bad way. I know few people who just bloat at winter when people are down. Dont. Eat. For. Stress.

Shiro, shiro, shiro, shiro... and everyone else.
If you are having a bad time, talk. It helps a lot. your friends, family and this community will back you up ^^

    Simple, I don't

A lot of people I know take stress out in the wrong way, because of that, stress and taking stress out has become negative, I understand that this is contradicting itself, but I'm sure I release it in more subtle ways which I dont realize. Oh well.

My Fave Youtuber just posted this as his QOTD :O

When it comes to stress, I'd mostly play video games or draw a bit to calm myself down. Doing something that you enjoy doing can help take out stress. I sometimes take a bath a bit to help relax my stress a bit. That way, I can get more relaxed and not panic about the situation. I sometimes talk about it, but only if someone asks me about. Most of the time, I keep my situations to myself since I feel like I shouldn't get anyone involved.

So, I recommend playing video games, doodle a bit (or color), or take a bath a bit. Those helped me relieve stress the most.

    Lots of ways:

    --writing
    --video games
--watching my kaleidoscopic loop (8 hours of pretty patterns)
    --happy/relaxing music
    --hot showers
    --naps
--talking it out with family or close friends
    --do a digital crosstich

It just depends on what's bugging me

Easy video games. I'm talking Smash against level 3s, Perfect Dark against MeatSims, Saints Row with infinite grenades and explosive ammo. Just mindlessly doing things that work easily and are satisfying to observe their effects.

My stress mostly comes from "I can't". Drive faster on a one-lane road, convince someone at work to gtfo, get an audience with someone I want to talk to. Easy video games replace the "I can't" with "I can", absolving the stress.

I get stressed alot, and trust me, you would not want to get me stressed.
I handle my stress by doing what I do best and do my normal activity (I am frequently chatting on the PvZ wikia). However, if it gets too much, I simply wait and after a while I would go bent on rage.

My school days are so very frustrating and stress is sure to follow. The thing is, I don't have time to manage my stress at all so I have to work it off. These days I'm trying to get much calmer, and not stress at all. I know lots of people who stress out so much that they start to scream, yell and breakdown. This isn't necessary and can impact your performance. Drinking cool water is an excellent way to manage stress, actually!

Stress only comes about when I am concerned about things I must do (tasks, obligations, projects, etc.), and I don't feel like I have enough time to finish them in. Ultimately the concerns are unfounded, but - as with all emotions - I must suppress them quickly before they grow ever more irrational. Beyond that, stress does not exist for me.

To begin, I calmly list (mentally) the tasks I want or need to do. I then complete them one at a time, starting with either whatever is on my mind at the time, or whatever is easiest for me to complete. Strangely, the due date doesn't become a factor until about the third task or so. I take this approach so I shan't worry myself in circles, concerned about how or why I'll complete the tasks. I simply buckle down and get to work.

I'm not easily stressed, but when I get stressed, I get really stressed. There are many different strategies that I have learned to employ, but the most effective of all of these is to just play piano. When I play piano, time just kind of gets lost, and I've been known to play piano for over an hour straight.

Video games are also really nice for stress, especially something like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon, but I typically find it easier to wait something out through music and waiting instead of trying to think about something else.

Doing my homework can put quite a lot of stress on me, and the easiest way to lift that for me is to let myself get lost in my huge imagination. I can always count on my own mind to come up with a ridiculous comedy sketch. Too bad that same imagination is what keeps me distracted from many things anyway...

This probably isn't the best way, but I usually cope with work stress by making my work bearable by any means possible. If it means getting food to help and binge-eating, yeah. If it means breaking it up and taking hour-long Netflix breaks in-between? Mhm. If it means sleeping it off? Yeah. So they're probably not too healthy.

I don't. I sort of let my stress handle itself. It's sort of slow, but it gets it done. I can try to sleep it off or pretend not to mind it, but it won't really go away. I can only hope it goes away on it's own.

    I contemplate death and dying.
But really, I have generalized anxiety, so I don't handle any stress well at all, I get burnt out or just plain old have a breakdown.
I wish I was different, but I'm learning more healthy stuff.

Like Wizard, I'm not easily stressed. However, when I do, I have three great ways to deal with it. One is just to put on very relaxing music, Animal Crossing music is actually wonderful for this. The next is to just go take a shower, water for whatever reason really de-stresses me. Lastly, I play a calming video game, a good example of this being things like Minecraft or Animal Crossing.

I'd recommend the relaxing music method to most people though, that really helps me out because stress can cause you to freak out and panic, but relaxing music can really calm that when you're just listening to good music and relaxing to it.

It's interesting reading how everybody handles stress differently, and how much it affects them.

As for myself, my stress is usually a result of feeling trapped or caged in by whatever's got me worked up, so if I take a bit to go outside, walk around, and really just appreciate what I can about my surroundings, it can have a very calming effect. If anyone hasn't tried this, I recommend it. Any time, any weather, just remind yourself that the world has a lot to it that we often just ignore as we go about our daily lives.

I curl into a ball and weep for hours. That's the only solution.

...okay not really. I'll listen to music or something relaxing. I have a lot of music, thankfully. 8)
