Hey LV, long time no see! As many of you know, the Summer Scramble is once again upon us. While I'm not able to participate due to work at the moment, I have decided to do a person Scramble of my own. I am doing the Shiny Scramble. Until August 5th 2023, I will be hunting for shiny Pokémon in Scarlet, Violet, Legends Arceus, and any gens 6 and 7 games where needed to hunt down shinies, heck I might even go to sword and shield. I will post my hunts every day for what I am hunting and will take suggestions into consideration. But what does this mean for everyone? I'll be putting shinies into a pool to start giving away on August 7th. The winning team gets to pick shinies from the pool to take as a victory prize. The top 3 participants from each team get a set of shiny event galarian birds and a minimum of 10 shinies each. The rest of the team gets at least 2 shinies of their choice, possibly more depending on how many shinies I find. The rankings will be determined my who earned the most points for their team and who participated in the most events. If there are ties, it will be resolved by who can answer a trivia question the quickest. I already have over 1 box of shinies ready and more are coming. Good luck and to the victors go the spoils! +++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++ I'm going to clarify the rules a bit because I felt I was being to vague. The three top participants are determined by who earns their team the most points followed by who participates in the most events. This means that if you earn more points, that can put you higher even if you were in fewer events. However, you must participate in a minimum of 3 events to qualify for the rankings. In the case of a tie, the participants will be asked Pokémon themed questions to determine who gets a spot. The person who answers correctly first gets that spot. The person who gets first place gets first pick of the 10 shinies, the second gets second, and the third gets third. The remaining team members get their shiny picks after that based off of their rankings. If you suggest a Pokémon to hunt and I find it, it automatically gets added to the pool. Keep in mind I am only hunting gens 6 through 9 with a focus on scarlet, violet, and legends arceus. What game I hunt a requested mon in is based off of which game it was last available in versus which game it will be easiest for me to hunt it in. Prize clarification: All prizes will be sent after the hunt finishes in early August. - The 1st place MVP for the winning team will get their pick of 10 shinies from the pool and a set of shiny event galarian birds - 2nd place gets their pick of 10 shinies and a set of shiny event galarian birds - 3rd place gets their pick of 10 shinies and a set of shiny event galarian birds - All other members of the winning team can then claim at least 2 shinies of their choice from what is left +++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++ This section will highlight what Hunt I am currently on and what shinies I currently have in my inventory and where they are located. ===================== ===================== Shiny hunt list: Hunt #1 varoom - complete Suggested mon 1: Duskull, already acquired. To clarify, how many shinies would 2nd place and 3rd place get total? Also my requested shiny is a Duskull from Legends Arceus
How if a member of the winning team doesn't have the games -- or even the consoles? Where should their gifts go to?
Shinies will be made available in multiple games and won't be moved until selected. I still have shinies available in gen 6 and 7 that can be selected from should they not have more recent games. As for switch games, Pokémon are backwards compatible through Pokémon home, for cases where they are not, home trading is also an option. If the team member doesn't have any way to get shinies, they can pass them on to a person of their choosing, I can hold them for up to a year if they are planning to get a console or game required, or I can work with the team member on other possibilities depending on their individual needs. If none of these options are suitable solutions, I will work with the team members to come up with an alternate prize for them. I would like to stick to shinies, however, some team members may need accommodations and I will do my best to provide that on a case by case basis.
