Could somebody try to get this team to work? I really like it and think it has potential. If the format is staying OU for the whole Scramble, I'd we save the Rain Team until next week. There are still some heavy contenders we haven't used yet, such as Mega Zam and Bisharp. As much as I love Rain Teams, I'd like to make sure some of the lower tier mons can hold their own, especially if we somehow lose the Pelipper.
Currently testing out this team. It looks promising. Will upload replays as I go along. Spoiler: Current Team being tested Omega (Bisharp) (F) @ Darkinium Z Ability: Defiant Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Sucker Punch - Iron Head - Knock Off - Swords Dance SPOONS (Alakazam-Mega) @ Alakazite Ability: Magic Guard EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Psychic - Shadow Ball - Recover - Focus Blast Chuckles (Shuckle) @ Rocky Helmet Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Stealth Rock - Sticky Web - Infestation - Encore Killer Rabbit (Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Huge Power EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Belly Drum - Aqua Jet - Play Rough - Knock Off Snekkity Snek (Serperior) @ Leftovers Ability: Contrary EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Leaf Storm - Substitute - Hidden Power [Fire] - Leech Seed Not Batman (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb Ability: Poison Heal EVs: 244 HP / 152 Def / 112 Spe Jolly Nature - Defog - Earthquake - Taunt - Roost Once again, Sticky Web is proving to be a godsend keeping speed ties and faster mons in check. Rocky Helmet damage really adds up as well. On the Serperior side, Leech Seed is great for annoying Pokémon it's NVE against, while Leftovers and Subtitute help keep it alive longer as well. Gliscor is there to remove rocks and any other hazards, but thankfully this team doesn't take too much damage from those. Bisharp is a monster against Eviolite Chansey and is overall a great way of removing items. The Z-Move hits hard as needed. Mega Zam is a nice special sweeper all around, and its mere presence will put the foe on edge. Be wary of enemy Bisharps!! Timing the Azumarill Belly Drum will be a big part. Be sure to kill any sweepers/heavy hitters before hand. @FNT has expressed interest in representing us this week. I've battled with them before in tourneys on /r/Pokémon, and yes, he's beaten your captain on multiple occassions :U, so I have confidence in their abilities
I like the team, but have you checked to make sure this is an acceptable use of Substitute under the rules of this event? Just want to make sure we don't get disqualified for something dumb.
Yeah, currently waiting to hear back from @Wolf Expert , though I'm pretty sure it should be all right. @FNT has tested out the team! It gets destroyed by Tapu Lele (Stupid Psychic Surge), but ofc, the Guardian of Akala is banned from SS! Apart from that, they're feeling very confident about using it! One of the current worries is the threat of Crimson using a Rain Team, but I feel that (kind of like us this week), they'll be focusing on using the leftover OU Pokémon as well!
All right, so just got word back from @Wolf Expert. We'll have to remove either Substitute or Leech Seed on Seperior; can't have both. Wolf feels using these in combination is too close to becoming a stall set; I tried to argue that the current EV spread and average bulk of Serperior shouldn't really be a problem, but it appears we'll have to get rid of one or the other. Which one do you think we should axe, and what shall we replace it with? I'm thinking Leech Seed, as Substitute would allow for more chances to set up Leaf Storm boosts. We could always use Giga Drain as well, but I dislike having to sacrifice Leech Seed's potential healing for team mates.
Whatever we get rid of (not sure what i think yet) Dragon Pulse would be a good coverage move since dragon resists both of its current moves
There's not a lot of Dragons left that I think would pose a huge threat, but I guess we could use it to watch out for stuff like Hydreigon/Haxorus.
I say leave it up to FNT. He will be the one using the team, so whichever one he is better at implementing. Do replace it with Dragon Pulse.

We need a rep and a team set up, so let's get brainstorming! I think it's pretty safe to use a Rain Team now. Serperior is out of the way, so that takes a load of pressure off of Swampert, and most of the heavy hitters aren't around to be a threat either! I say we end the Scramble on the stormy high seas! So, moveset ideas. We definitely need either Pelipper or Politoed. Leaning toward a bulky Pelipper with Damp Rock and Hurricane + Tailwind; lots of time to keep the Swift Swimmer up! Mega Swampert is a must have now, and Dragonium-Z Kingdra and Ludicolo are all good as well! A dual screener to extend survivability would be nice. Maybe Klefki? Let's get plannin' folks! We'll end this with a bang!
Maybe this? Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite Ability: Torrent EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe Adamant Nature - Earthquake - Waterfall - Ice Punch - Superpower Pelipper @ Damp Rock Ability: Drizzle EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA Bold Nature - Hurricane - Scald - U-turn - Roost Kabutops @ Rindo Berry Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe Adamant Nature - Liquidation - Stone Edge - Aqua Jet - Rapid Spin Galvantula @ Focus Sash Ability: Compound Eyes EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Thunder - Sticky Web - Bug Buzz - Volt Switch Kingdra @ Dragonium Z Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe Lonely Nature - Draco Meteor - Outrage - Dragon Dance - Waterfall Escavalier @ Assault Vest Ability: Swarm EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Iron Head - Knock Off - Megahorn - Pursuit I modified my prior team by adding Kingdra and Escavalier. Escavalier is incredibly bulky and is only weak to Fire, which obviously isn’t a problem for this team. It also resists Grass and Freeze Dry, two of our team’s biggest weaknesses. AV for extra bulk, and dual STAB. Both Knock Off and Pursuit for their respective situational purposes, and because Escavalier doesn’t have much variety in its movepool. Not Poison Jab since both Grass and Fairy are covered by its STABs, and not Drill Run because we don’t need more Ground coverage. Pursuit could help us against the likely Mega Alakazam, or any frail swaps. Comes in handy. Also, has minimum speed to counter Trick Room, as we rely a lot on outspeeding our opponents. Gave Kingdra both Draco Meteor and Outrage because we should be prepared to hit either side, depending on the circumstances. Also, no major Fairy threats left beat Escavalier 1v1, so we don’t need Iron Head. Feel free to test this team or a modified version of it out.
Alakzam is off the table now; we used it last battle I feel Ludicolo would be preferable over Kabutops/Escavalier. Has good Ice/Grass coverage, and also can be another Scalder. Fake Out helps as well.
You do NOT know how deadly Kabutops is in rain. Also, it is our only hazard removal. Fake Out isn’t as strong on a Special/Mixed attacker. Also, we don’t need Scald on too many mons. The goal of this team is to hit fast and hit hard. Ludicolo isn’t going to help with the latter much. Also without Escavalier we flat out lose to Trick Room and Freeze Dry, can’t hit Grass types as easily, and have an inferior type synergy. Trust me, Ludicolo would harm the team more than help. Also, it would be the only member who is completely useless outside of rain.
All right, getting back to report my testing. Escavalier puts in WORK yo, Assault Vest was a smart choice This team is destroyed by Ferrothorn. However that isn't a problem atm. What IS a very real possible problem is Breloom. We need some sort of Stealth Rocks I feel. That will break through any Focus Sashers (LIKE BRELOOM) and our Swift Swimmers should be more than a match to outspeed most of the remaining meta. And yeah, we need a battler to represent.
This is why we need Escavalier to have Pursuit. https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-gen7ou-782298049 Edit: Kabutops or Swampert can get Stealth Rock I think. Also, if we don't have a Z-move, you can switch the berry on Kabutops for one. Or not.
