    Hey folks. I want to know who here has played Super Mario Sunshine, and what are your thoughts on it? Personally I love it. The scenery, the characters, the abilities and the plot itself were all pretty solid, imo. It was unique, they went places they hadn't gone before and it makes me sad that Mario fans are so critical of it.

    I really liked it, the controls were a bit tricky from time to time, but it was a fun game, bright and quite open for a Mario game of it's time. I never did finish it because I got stuck at the mission with the manta ray, but I still enjoyed the game.

    I loved it! A really underrated gem in my opinion, overshadowed by Super Mario 64 because of how many players disliked the new gameplay mechanics. But I thought that FLUDD added a unique new twist, and some of the Shine Sprites were definitely more challenging to obtain than others (like the evil that was the Secret of the Village Underside). The music is also very nice and catchy - especially in Noki Bay and Pinna Park! It's up there with Pikmin 1 and 2 for being a favorite Gamecube game of mine.

    I have always tried to play this game, but I just couldn't do it. I don't really like the game and I think it is definitely one of the weakest Mario games if not the weakest there is.

    I wanna ask why you think that? Personally I think it is one of the best, but due to critics it gets a lot of slack. Sure it's different from the other times but for the time it was so creative and innovative compared to other Mario games out there. Honestly part of me prefers it to Super Mario 3D World...
