What's your favorite super hero? Super villain? Somewhere in between perhaps? Do you like the character, the abilities, and/or the story?

    I can't pick a favourite! No! Don't make me!

My favourite heroes are Iron Man, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Deadpool and Spiderman. I like their origin stories, especially Batman and Spider Man and their powers, especially MM, Iron Man and Deadpool. Oh, and the Powerpuff Girls because they're epicness.

My favourite villian is the Joker. There's just no way to not love the guy. His cloudy orgin stories (who is the Joker?!), his classic feats of hilarious cruelty, his quotes and his overall demeanor! I also like Mojo Jojo.

Iron Man is cool, but I'm not really into superheroes. Most of them honestly look pretty ridiculous. I mean...

    Yeah, they look like idiots.

Yes! Martian Manhunter! I watched the 2000s Justice League (and JL Unlimited) cartoons start to finish recently, and J'onn J'onzz is so incredibly awesome. He always keeps a level head, is tied with Batman for smartest Justice League member, has a fun variety of powers, and is probably one of the few superheroes who could stop Superman 1 on 1 (others include Captain Atom and Shazam, plus Flash probably has some pseudoscience trick up his sleeve). I just hate how it's so hard to find Martian Manhunter T-shirts. Come on, just print up a green/cyan shirt with a bold red X across it's chest and I'll buy it at four times the cost of any of my Batman shirts! Out of power/story/personality, MM wins a lot of those for me, but Batman's up there too. There's something weirdly relateable about him as being an ordinary human being keeping up with super-powered humans and aliens.

So yeah. I'm a DC nerd. In addition to those two heroes, I also like Green Lantern (Mostly John Stewart, but I've heard Simon Baz's backstory is awesome too), Hawkgirl, many of the Bat-sidekicks after they're grown up (mostly Nightwing and Red Hood), Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes at least, but I want to get my hands on the old comics and see the previous beetles), as well as The Question. Q is pretty much a less-bloodthirsty Rorschach, which makes him quite awesome indeed (plus, he got together with Huntress!). He even tried to murder Lex Luthor to try to prevent Superman from going all Injustice on the world eight years before Injustice became a thing! Go watch JLU S2E9 "Question Authority" if you don't know what I'm talking about. Also, special shoutout to Static. He's a great example of the power of rising above negative influence and hardship to become a force of good, plus he's smart enough to know "Hey, I have electric powers! Not only can I shoot lightning bolts, but I can control magnetism and static cling too! Take that, Magneto!"

I've ranted too long already, but my favorite villains? Most of the ones that are good enough to be more than just one-shot or cameos, also minus Joker and HQ. Scarecrow, Mirror Master, Darkseid, just to name very, very few.

Oh, and @[member="Blast"] ? I dare you to say that to his face.

I gotta admit he has a nice harem going. The pantyhose he wears does seem to attract ladies.

For me though, I liked Iron Man for the suit, and Longshot was pretty cool. Villains... there are so many. I don't even know. //tableflip

The thing is, Batman can wear tights and still be manly enough to pick up all those ladies plus the likes of Talia al Ghul, Jezebel Jet, Black Canary, and probably even Silk Spectre if Alan Moore decided to blend Watchmen into the rest of the DC universe. Even Superman is like "Oh, hi Diana. Sorry, no, I shouldn't take you out to dinner, Lois said I can't. Sorry. /poutyface".

Because the debate will probably come up eventually: let's compare Batman and Iron Man, since they admittedly have a lot in common. Test 1: Who gets more ladies (and doesn't have to try as hard, as opposed to trying to replace charm with an inflated ego)? Batman. Test 2: Who wins in a fight with all their tools and abilities at their disposal? Iron Man. Test 3: Who wins in a fight with just their body, mind, and skills at their disposal (AKA put Wayne and Stark unarmed in an arena and see who comes out alive)? Batman. Winner? The Dark Knight, the Caped Crusader, the World's Greatest Detective: BAAAAAAATMAAAAAAN!

Now excuse me, I'm going to pick out my shirt for tomorrow. Let's see: Batman, classic Batman, Red Hood, Nightwing, McGinnis Batman? So much to choose from. Maybe I should wear one of the many Iron Man Shirts that are marketable enough to buy somewhere other than a comic con? Oh, wait, those are about as common as a Marvel hero doesn't cause every problem he fixes! (Thank you, Groot, for being the exception that proves the rule.)

Do you hear what I hear? I think Eru was right.
