October third is coming up soon, and with it comes the new character for smash poll's deadline. Who did you vote for? Who do you expect to win? Which character are you against?

Shantae!!!! Maybe they could make a solid shantae playset and not provide too many fan services

I voted for Neku Sakuraba, because he feels like a character Square Enix and Nintendo have just brushed under the rug. He has enough col Psyche powers that he could have awesome abilities.

I ended up voting for Zant in the poll from "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess". Zant is a really cool, reallly thought out character: what seems like this level-headed calm and collected villain is actually a childish, psychopathicly deranged lunatic, which makes for a really great twist and one of the best Zelda villains imo. I'd love to see what sort of moveset they'd give him if they added him, it would if anything be insanely chaotic haha

Not sure who I expect to win though, I doubt Zant will but I can hope!

My vote was for Issac from the Golden Sun series, I had even thought out a cool move set for him to have, which includes a KO system similar to Little Mac. Not a lot of hope but it would be cool, I'd probably even learn to play a sword character for it.

I voted for Miles Prower aka Tails from the Sonic franchise. Out of all the possible Sonic characters that could be added as DLC, Tails seems like one of the most reasonable choices. He can fly, do some spin attacks like sonic, and is a mechanical genius (which allows him to use his own weapons/gadgets etc.). His final smash can even be Hyper Tails (from Sonic Hereos) or his legendary Tornado Jet that could either be something like Fox or Zero Suit Samus' final smash. He has so much potential and I can totally see him in smash!

I voted for Professor Layton to be in Smash. Most people would think that a gentleman like Layton wouldn't fit in a fighting game, but Layton's got lots of potential. He can use a sword, since he knows how to fence. His recover could be an inflating top hat, he could throw hint coins, scald people with tea, or summon Luke and his animal companions. He's also got that killer index finger point which would make a great smash attack or Final Smash. Plus, the Layton series has some great landscapes and music, and many of them could be converted into fighting-game levels.

I did a strange but unique, Pokémon Ranger and Pichu (Like Rosaline and Luma combo) on the poll because that may help Pichu become better in the game :)

Isaac was one of my top 3 wants as well. When I saw him as an assist trophy in Brawl, I was sure he would be playable in the next Smash. Alas, no, but there is still hope for this DLC and Smash 5. My main hope was to have a character who could have awesome close-range swordplay and use is psi abilities for some good long range stuff on the same level as Samus or Rosalina.

My other two big ones were Baby Bowser and (go figure) Zero from the Megaman X series.

Why Baby Bowser, if there's already Bowser Junior? Baby Bowser is Bowser himself, just younger (not his offspring), as seen in Yoshi's Island. Through his limited interaction in that game we kind of see him as a lighter, more agile Bowser at least with his down-special and neutral-special, and with an incredibly awesome Final Smash. (And if Link, Toon Link, Mario, Dr. Mario, Samus, and ZSS can all co-exist, then I dare say Bowser and Baby Bowser can too.)

Zero is just... come on! He's frikkin Zero, dude! Megaman X kicks Megaman's butt, and Zero saves X's butt like ten times over the course of the X series! If that's not a hierarchy of coolness, I don't know what is. Admittedly, another Fire Emblem -esque swordfighter character might be bland, but if we take him from the Megaman Zero series instead of the X series, he's got all those cool other weapons like the buster, shield, spear, chain, boomerang, and that awesome multi-purpose Tonfa thing. Now that I think about it, he could be a cooler, high-tech alternative to Link (with better sword techniques than a silly spinaround)! Primary sword plus an awesome variety of weapons on the side.

You know, in all honesty I don't really care too much on who gets it. I just want something that's different. Something that had a different mechanic or play style. No more clones. I'm hoping people don't vote for the character that's cool, but instead one that makes Nintendo be creative with it.

Deoxys is the biggest example I can think of. It would be a cool feature to have it change to its different forms, see it's body flex and create different weapons like it did in the show. It could fly a little. And maybe some more
