Sweet 16?

Wow, sounds really bad... I'll also be turning 16 this year (in August), and my "Sweet 16" will probably be identical to that, except I get the same present from everyone; money (except the grandparents. From them I will receive socks)
It's nice to know that I'm not the only boring person on this planet, and I feel your pain.

 

I did absolutely nothing for my 16th and I doubt anything is gonna be happening for my 18th either. I'm not really big on celebrating birthdays since there doesn't really seem like a point to me, haha
Not to suggest that I don't like presents and such, I'm not turning down freebies

 

My sweet 16 is in 8 days. I don't know if I'll be doing anything special i hope i will

 

16 was the arguable the hardest age for me to cope with, so there wasn't much of anything "sweet" about it. I remember celebrating it just like I did any other birthday. I didn't receive any fancy gifts, nor was I showered in hundred dollar bills. The roof above my head and the food put on the table (and the internet) were all good enough for me at the time.

 

For my "sweet 16" I got a thing of ranch and saltine crackers since I celebrated my birthday alone. But my grandparents sent me money so I can buy me a car so that should be something.

 

I didn't really have one. Tbh the ages of 15 and 16 were very hard for me. But I don't mind, I didn't really want anything extravagant anyway.

 

I'm looking forward to turning 16!! I'm gonna spend the day with My car that i'll be getting, then i'll go for a drive with my new license!!

 

Honestly my 16th birthday was spent alone, texting one of my best friends. I enjoyed a silent, empty house, and wasn't bothered. I'm a solitary guy when it comes to my birthday, as they've never felt all that important to me. I'm usually irritable, actually, since my birthdays tend to be negative omens (though my 17th was a great day).

 

My sweet 16 actually happened less than a week ago. Nothing really special happened, however, mostly because my parents were busy and the present I want is going to take until another two weeks to get. I do prefer having my birthdays more quiet and relaxing, though.

But what I like most about this birthday is that my father went out to visit me just for my birthday. What makes this special is A. He should be at work right now, as he is not home for 1 and a 1/2 fortnights a month and B. He has travelled about 400-500 miles from his workplace to my home.

 

I turn 16... on the 21st, actually! But I really don't want to have a large party, do anything super extravagant, or the like; I'd be happy with just going out to dinner tomorrow, and maybe going to the video arcade or spending time at home playing with my Wii U. I'm more of a minimalist and dislike parties, because I'm very quiet and get overwhelmed by having too many people around or being the center of attention. Preferably spending time by myself or with my brother is fine by me, but of course my mom decided to invite some other family members without my permission. I'll probably just spend Sunday, the day after, talking with my besties on the Internet or playing Super Smash Bros. with them. So much for an ideal birthday, huh? Happy early birthday to everyone else whose birthdays are coming up soon, though!

 

I am 16, almost 17. There is nothing sweet about being 16, let me tell you that lmao

But it is pretty cool. I'd rather be 17 or 18 though so I'm exciting for my birthday to come.

 

I'll be turning 16 in a year or so, but it doesn't really matter to me. However, I feel like 16 is the age where people start to pay more attention to you and where people feel like you're maturing the most.
However, I remember back when my older brother turned 16, we actually did have a celebration at the ice skating rink, and boy was it fun. Because it was his sweet 16, we actually made it pretty special for him.

 

I'm just gonna say that being 16 is nearly the same as being 15 overall. You jump up a year and some people make a huge deal about, but in reality, there isn't a huge difference.

 

I don't really celebrate my birthday all that much, so I didn't do much on my 16th either. The closest thing is that me and my friends went to a buffet place, but that's our tradition for any major event happening, or if we just want to meet up. We still do that till this day~
