    Synerjee & Astralogy's Co-op Crystal Wedlocke

One fine day, Astral and I decided to do a co-op Wedlocke using Pokémon Crystal. We used a program called TeamViewer so that we might both have control over the same game from two different countries across the world. We then decided to keep a log of it a few days after we started, so there won't be many elaborate details of our early progress. I'll try my best to provide as much detail as I can remember of what has happened, though.
    ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
General breakdown of the Wedlocke rules (taken from this site:
    1. All Pokémon must be nicknamed to create a bond between trainer (trainers, in this case), and their Pokémon.
    2. There are three pairs of Pokémon on the team (three groups of two Pokémon). Each Pokémon is permanently paired with another Pokémon and can only be switched out for each other at all times: that means, no switching out for Pokémon that they are not paired with. Each pair is married and cannot be separated!
    3. If the Pokémon paired with another is fainted in any way, it is considered 'dead' and must therefore be boxed or released. The remaining Pokémon becomes a 'lone wolf' and must fight on its own (to the death, if necessary), until a new partner is obtained, either from the PC or a wild encounter.
    4. Only the first Pokémon of each route may be caught. If the first Pokémon encountered is of the same gender as an unpaired Pokémon in the team, or if the encountered Pokémon has previously been caught (dupes clause), it may be ignored. However, if the capture of an eligible Pokémon is unsuccessful, no other Pokémon may be caught on that route.
    5. Withdrawing Pokémon from the PC is not allowed under normal circumstances. The only way this can be done is to 'murder' a Pokémon on the team by fainting it or releasing it (although this is generally not preferred).
    6. Extra rule not included in the site: A pair of Pokémon may be kept in the Daycare centre as a 'backup plan' and may be switched with any current pair in the party if need be.

Interesting, Don't think I've ever heard of a co-op locke before. I can't wait to see what happens

Trust me, it's hilarious. Two people basically controlling one computer is bound to be fun, but my favorite part is the nicknaming. We usually go one letter at the time, which ends up with names like "Cizxenstiq" the Golbat xD

    The adventure continues!
Okay, this is going to be a rather tough update because so many things happened yesterday and it was not easy keeping up with everything (ugh, the cost of forgetting to keep notes of our progress). >< Anyways, let's continue! I'll do this in point form to make this easier for us.
Note: Events might not be 100% accurate and might not have gone in the exact order as listed.
    ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
    • From where we stopped, we then proceeded to take care of the trainers in the gym and Morty's Ghost-types in one fell swoop, thanks to our incredible battling skills!!! (and Jessie's and Moozle's sheer power of course, haha.) Fourth badge get!
    • Now that we have access to Surf, we then caught the first Water-type we came across, which was a Krabby named Gwarmgwam, and taught it to carry us across bodies of water. Anyways, we traced back to Surfable locations and picked up some items. Also, we went to the Ruins of Alph with the sole purpose of obtaining a Moon Stone, which we accomplished by using HM Flash at the wall with the words LIGHT on it in one of the sliding puzzle rooms only accessible with Surf. Xalvor evolved into Nidoking!
    • We then decided that it was high time that our Nekomata evolved, so we checked up on its friendship and discovered that it hadn't yet reached its optimum friendship level. Solution? We rode the bike up and down Goldenrod City a million times using the emulator's speedup option (thankfully). It was the only way, besides feeding it expensive vitamins and giving it haircuts, which we couldn't afford at that point. Nekomata evolved into Espeon!
    • Next, it was time that we had a permanent Water-type to utilise instead of the temporary one we used to get the Moon Stone. We didn't want Krabby as our main Water-type user, so after a few catch attempts later which involved a Poliwhirl named Alnwut (I have no idea what exactly transpired from that point), we ended up with a fine Tentacool, which we nicknamed Savior! She has since evolved into a mighty Tentacruel under Astral's strict training regime. Savior evolved into Tentacruel!
    • We then caught a bunch of other Pokémon, namely Mudpuppy the Wooper, Cizxenstiq the Golbat, and RIP the Hoothoot. We then killed off the Hoothoot because we didn't want it. Thus, the lifespan of RIP ended prematurely. :/ Oh well.
    • There were also a few team changes, but I shan't include the processes as they were too complex and confusing for me to follow lol.

The adventure continues once again! We did quite a bit this time round. We once again didn't manage to take down any notes, but I'll try my best to capture the fullest possible essence of our journey.
    ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
    • The first thing we did was to Surf over to Cianwood City, collect the Secretpotion, and defeat Chuck with style. His two Pokémon couldn't stand up to Aeria's powerful gusts of wind emanating from those powerful wings of hers. Fifth badge get!
    • We then got HM Fly, taught it to Aeria, flew back to Olivine, gave the Secretpotion to Amphy, then followed Jasmine back to her gym. We lost no time in securing our victory with the help of our Xalvor's powerful Fighting and Water-type attacks. Sixth badge get!
    • Onwards to Mahogany Town! We went straight to the Lake of Rage and caught ourselves a beautiful Red Gyarados, which we nicknamed Yivubb. Lol, wonderful name, I know. We then proceeded to help Lance wipe out Team Rocket's secret underground hideout in that suspicious-looking house in no time at all.
    • Next stop: Mahogany's gym! Since we didn't really have any Pokémon that could effectively take care of all the Ice-types, we used Savior's bulky special defence to save us from their icy-cold attacks and promptly defeat Pryce. A few Resting Dewgongs never inconvenienced us for a second. Seventh badge get!
    • From this point on, we decided that we needed a good Fighting-type to take on the Elite Four's Dark-types (planning ahead for the future's always good). We then spent forever looking for a Heracross in the Headbuttable trees, catching a number of Pokémon along the way, as per the rules. Finally... Whaddya know. We found a shiny Heracross. *huge gasp* Don't ask me how we managed to get it. For full details, Astral is your man. Welcome to the team, Gameshark!!!
    • We then went through the Ice Path, caught a Russian Swinub named Crhovnja for our team, and arrived at Blackthorn City. We couldn't enter the final gym yet because we hadn't defeated Team Rocket at the Radio Tower, so that's what Astral's gonna do as part of his training regime off-screen. Welcome to the team, Crhovnja!!!
    • Swapped Jessie and Moozle for the two newest members. We are aware that it's against the rules but... Eh, just this once.

...You know what? I'm not going to keep updating this list anymore since it's getting tedious. The list is always going to keep changing and, well, it doesn't even help to keep track of this.
