I'm mainly posting this thread because I have seen people on the fence about this one. I'd like to know if there is any official classification for tablets, and if there is not, do you think it is a mobile device or naw?

Not mobile, they are more or less a fancier version of a laptop/notebook, although inferior in most cases when it comes to specs.

That's.. actually a pretty interesting question. I don't know if I'd consider tablets mobile but they're not really non-mobile, either. Somewhere in-between, I suppose? There are days when I see these things as mobile and days when I assume they're their own thing but lately I've been leaning more towards the mobile side. Tablets are limited with what they can do but are more portable so they're a good middle ground.

I think it generally depends on the definition of mobile that you assume to use.
Personally, I'll say mobile means "is capable of being easily carried or transported by a person without the explicit need of some aid by nature or design." From that, tablets are mobile. If by "mobile" you mean "small", then that's a grey area--some may consider Samsung Galaxy phones or the iPhone 6 Plus to be tablets due to their larger size.

I like mobile only for on the go things. Otherwise I'd use a computer. If I'm too lazy to put my computer on, then I guess I would go for a tablet but, I would consider a tablet a phone It's on the go. Laptops are in my opinion, considered mobile as well, and the tablet does the same thing as a tablet as well.

Tablets are considered as computers. Tablet-computer to be exact! They are not mobile, even tho some of them can be small! And i like tablets very much! I wish i could own one!
