@WavePearl "I'm Lively." Ayesha said as she jumped in. "I have to say it's been a while since I played water polo."
@BraviaryScout "Don't worry--the counselor will explain the rules for the newcomers, and those that haven't played in a while." Gaia replied."We're only playing for fun, so there's no prizes except for bragging rights."
@WavePearl "The game is simple!" The counselor explained as he strode on the pool's side, "Just try to score the ball in the other team's goal. The team with the most points when the timer ends wins the game!" "Ready go!" Gaia got the ball and she quickly passed it to a teammate.
@BraviaryScout This person in turn passed it to Lively. It helped she had a straight shot to the goal.
@WavePearl Lively shot it towards the goal. Only for the keeper to bat it away and pass it to the other team.
@BraviaryScout The boys' team fared no better than the girls had, and it was not long before the girls received the ball again. (how much time is left on the clock?)
@WavePearl (I'd say about 5 minutes) Lively swam over to the offensive side where she managed to free herself. "I'm open!"
@BraviaryScout Gaia passed Lively the ball. The next question was how Lively was going to get through the boys' defense.
@WavePearl Lively moved forward. Another girl seeing what she was planning moved to her side to where there was only one boy guarding the left. As soon as the others closed in to defend her, she passed it over.
@BraviaryScout The ball went in the goal just as time expired, winning the girls the game! "Nicely done." the counselor smiled. Even the boys were impressed at the girls' teamwork.
@WavePearl "That was a fun game." One of the boys said as many others agreed and they came to shake hands with them. "Nice job. Thought we could defend, but you caught us off guard!"
(BraviaryScout) The afternoon flew by, and before long, the mess call for dinner rang through the camp. The second night's menu was build your own stirfry.
@WavePearl "Ooh!" Lively said. "I love stir fry!" "Yeah. I wonder what antics Lady Lumidori and Boss Thunderbolt are going to come up with today?" "What do you mean?" "Oh they're BOUND to be entertaining!"
@WavePearl "Let's eat!" And everyone happily dug in. Lively was definitely enjoying the good tasting flavored meat and vegetables. The amount of oil used was just right.
@BraviaryScout Dinner went smoothly, and before long, it was time for the campfire. The bleachers were electric as to what Brock and the others would sing or tell for the second night.
@WavePearl Before long, it was time to gather around the campfire. As everyone filed in, aided by the staff, they noticed none of the senior officials around. "Where's the Boss?" "I don't see Lady Lumidori anywhere!"
@BraviaryScout Just then, Serena and a few counselors arrived to light the campfire. "As our music cheers us, so be the melody of our lives;" Serena began, quieting the excited children. "As our mirth unites us, so be the harmony of our hearts; As our spirits rise to the lilt of our song, so may the spirits of trainers who have gone before uplift us to renewed endeavor; And may the happy fellowship of this circle go out into all the world." With that, cheers filled the air as the fire roared to life, quieting as Serena sang The evening star is shining bright So make a wish and hold on tight There's magic in the air tonight... And anything can happen... Brock filled in the last line as the spotlight shifted over to him.
@BraviaryScout (fast forwarding through the March to the Company/Vive L'amour) After the March to the Company, murmurs filled the room as Brock thought of the first song of the evening. "Turn to #1071--that's 'The Meowth Came Back'." Excited whispers went up as everyone flipped to the requested song--"The Meowth Came Back" was a camp favorite because of how the campers would think up increasingly ridiculous ways for old Mr. Johnson to get rid of the titular Meowth.
