Yosuke took notice of Phantump and shrugged. Nevertheless, Swellow decided to track down Phantump and ended up flying around Claire's head.
@Pokémist @ShinigamiMiroku @Trap Nation6652 @Coraline @122 Generation @ShireHime "Okay, understudies, your turn!" the director called. Ash had finished blocking the opening scene, so now it was time for the understudies to learn the same scene.
Souji nodded as he moved away from the measuring team and walked onto the stage. He put away his thoughts as he began to listen to the director.
@ShinigamiMiroku "Are we ready to begin blocking for the first scene?" the director asked Souji." You can do this! Alakazam beamed an inspiring mantra into his master's mind.
Aria quietly watched everything that was happening with the rest of the audience. If anything, she was excited at the chance of being able to work with Ash and Souji. She knew that she could learn from the both of them.
Swellow made herself comfortable near Claire's side and she prepared to watch for whatever would come. Yosuke muttered, "Looks like my shot at rehearsal will have to wait." He took note of Souji's presence and waited things out.
@ShinigamiMiroku The director meets you on the stage. "Now, when you come onstage and are told to pick up the tree, make a big show out of attempting to lift it."
@ShinigamiMiroku (Not yet--the set crew is still building it) "For now, pretend the pole is the tree." the director went on. She motioned to a gray pole standing where the tree would be.
"Okay," Souji replied as he walked over to the pole. First he lifted it to get a feel for it; it was pretty light, which made sense since there was no point in needlessly putting any of the actors in any danger. "Alright, pretend it's really heavy..." he muttered to himself as he envisioned a massive tree trunk, not unlike many of those that were in the forest near where he had lived not too long ago. He wrapped his arms around the pole and began to attempt to 'lift' it, his arms and eventually even his torso 'shaking' every time he attempted to 'lift' it. After about half a minute of this, he stopped and dropped onto his knees, trying to look exerted and out-of-breath.
@ShinigamiMiroku The director applauded. "Yes! That's the struggle I'm looking for!" She went on "Brian's training sequence is represented by an act of skill...do you have any preference to what this is?"
Souji thought about it for a minute before replying, "As the understudy, it would be on me to learn whatever the lead decides for situations like this. That aside, I have a few skills; for example, my holographic cards project whatever I need via Alakazam's and my psychic power and could be useful to simulate various training regimens for Brian to go through. If you want something simpler, I'm sure my sword or Iron Fan skills would be useful."
@ShinigamiMiroku "You don't have to mimic the actor you're studying." the director assured Souji. "Sometimes audiences like seeing different acts when the understudies perform."
