Group RP Team Courage - Braving the Cold

Oh, great. What now? Kalino thought upon hearing Melia's warning about the Shadow Triad. He knew that Rosie can be quite a fierce girl when needed, but still... I need to back her up... somehow...

"Fei, you done with our brother?" Melia asked the living lei around Kalino's neck who detached herself from him as her way of saying, "Yep, I'm done." The white Plasma lady sighed in relief. Knowing that Rosie's Blissey took the Techno Blast head-on, she ordered, "Now go, Floral Healing on that Blissey!" Kalino followed it by letting himself go of Mako and telling him, "Mako, cover Fei!" That being said, Fei and Mako rushed to Rosie's Blissey. The living lei attached herself to the Blissey and released a soothing aroma from her Floral Healing while the Kantonian Ninetales stayed vigilant in case anything happened to them.

As soon as Mako and Fei got into their positions (?), the former suddenly knelt as he tried to catch his breath. It's more like due to his fatigue after messing with the grunts, though.
"Seriously Fei, why didn't you heal Mako first before healing me?" Kalino muttered in a way that it could pass as cursing himself for what his fire-type Ninetales felt.

The blast caught everyone off guard, Mio and Charizard were no exception. The latter quickly acted by whipping up another Heat Wave toward the snow right above the group, unknowingly helped Vulcan with melting the snow.

 

David picked himself up from the snowy ground. The incoming avalanche and subsequent eruption attack had blown him off his feet. With a start he looked around, and spotted the almost invisible white tail of his pachirisu. He dug her out then tried to dry her off a bit. “we’re fine,” he told Mathias, setting the squirrel on his shoulders again.

By the time the Shadow's Genesect went out of commission thanks to Toxicroak's Revenge, Mako collapsed out of the blue. Seems like his fatigue had already reached its peak.
"MAKO!!!"
Kalino ran to his Ninetales with Melia and Iceslash followed suit. Just when he was going to check on his Pokémon, the Shadow who fought Rosie immediately returned the Genesect to their Pokéball. "Consider yourselves lucky for now. Next time, no mercy," he hissed to the teens before vanishing into thin air.
"Sorry about that, bro," Kalino sighed as he returned Mako to his Pokéball. As much as the boy wanted to heal him, he left his bag and all of his supplies in the sleigh, so that's all he could do at this point.

 

The Shadow disappeared in front of Rosie's eyes. "Well, this is bad."She thought. Now, she claimed down a bit(She was still pissed by the way the Black Plasma Grunts treats their Pokemons), she looked at the location of N. All she sees is N and Zekrom, it seems that the Shadow took Zinzolin away and left. She ran to N and sent out Blissey. "Blissey, heal Zekrom"

Rosie ran towards Kalino. "Kalino, is Mako ok?" After knowing Mako is in need of healing, she tells him to let Mako out. After some quick checking, Rosie deduced the injuries. "Mako is tired. Just some rest and some berries should help him recover." Rosie said. She tells Blissey to use Heal Pulse to help Mako recover some stamina and heal off any wounds. Then, she takes out some Sitrus Berry and grinds them up into juice and mix it with a potion. She fed the mixture to Mako and later, Mako recovered. Kalino thanked Rosie but she tells Kalino to return Mako to his Pokéball for him to rest as he just recovered, he may not have the energy to fight. (The Heal Pulse is used to heal off wounds and help Mako some of the stamina and The potion+Berry mixture is to speed up the rate of stamina recover rate.)Then, She ran to N and sent out Blissey. "Blissey, heal Zekrom" A beam of pink energy landed on Zekrom and healed all the wounds of the Dragon. Now, that Zekrom is much better, aside from being very tired, N tells Zekrom to go back into a Pokéball to rest, even though he hates "trapping" Pokemons inside Pokeballs.

Rosie asked N: "Did you asked anything out?" "I do, and it is bad. You know I have the Dragon that symbolizes Ideal. The Black Plasma has its eye on my dragon. But I think you know that." N said. "Yes, I do know that. And I think he says something like taking the Dragons and use the DNA Splicer to fuse them together." "Wait, they are trying to bring back the Perfect Kyrume?"

(Again, I don't know which dragon should N have.)

 

Kalino sighed as he sent his Kantonian Ninetales out. "He's beat, it seems," he said. Overhearing what Kalino just said, Melia whistled to call her Comfey who immediately detached herself from the Blissey.

Upon seeing what's going on, Fei immediately attached herself to Mako and used yet another round of Floral Healing, effectively speeding up his recovery.

(Let's make it Heal Pulse + Floral Healing instead of just Heal Pulse. )

In the meantime, Melia tapped Kalino's shoulder to get his attention. "Sorry bro, I can't join you to look for Hugo," the pink-haired white Plasma grunt apologized as she namedropped Iceslash's trainer's name. She then gave Kalino a Quick Ball and requested, "So please, take Fei with you." This sudden request surely caught the blue-haired boy off guard.
"B-but sis, how about you? Don't you need her for your 'Aether' work?" he protested only to be responded by her giggle. "Don't worry, I've got a native healer with me~" she reassured him. By "native healer", she meant Audino because this is Unova.

 

Claire nodded along. Memories from her youth of the destruction and chaos caused by Kyogre and Groudon returned to her once again. She shuddered, both at the cold and at what kind of similar devastation this ice dragon could cause. Heck, she was in the middle of it already.

Out of the blue, some kind of explosion rocked Twist Mountain and sent a small avalanche their way. Claire yelped and cowered behind of the edge of the sleigh, but the two Fire-type Pokémon with them were able to either melt or divert most of the snow away. Enough snow got through to knock David off his feet and to partially cover Claire. She squirmed as some of the snow got under her heavy coat.

"I'm OK," she reassured Mathias, "but what in the world was that?"

 

(Sensing a minor godmodding here yet deciding to play along anyway)

"Thanks, Rosie," Kalino said. He recalled Mako back to his Pokéball to let him rest while Melia convinced Fei to go with him. And soon after, the Comfey made herself at home around Kalino's neck once more.
"Whoa there Fei, you sure you wanna come with me?" he asked to which the living lei happily nodded. The two then heard his fellow ex-Skull grunt musing, "Seems like those baddies have their eyes on Lord N's dragon..." Not sure what Melia just said, Kalino turned around only to find a powerful, black dragon right there.
That's... awesome...
Melia turned to her "brother" who got awed at the dragon before them. "Behold, an embodiment of the ideals, Zekrom!" she proudly announced. But then, much to their dismay, the black dragon was recalled to their Pokéball.

The two ex-Skull grunts listened to Rosie's conversation with N about whatever's going on. It seems like Melia's random guess about the black Plasma's intention was right all along.

Meanwhile at the spot where the avalanche happened, Mio swiftly ran to the two Mudsdale to check on them.
"You guys okay? Anybody hurt?" she asked. Kalino's Mudsdale shook the snow off and told the Ninetales, "Yeah... somehow." They both then turned to the other Mudsdale, awaiting their response.

(This part also contains Pokémon talks; humans may or may not know what they're talking about. Also, I'm leaving Axel's response up to Jey's interpretation to avoid godmodding because they've been with Mathias in the first place.)

 

"The Perfect Kyurem? What is that?"Rosied asked. She might be smart, but she knows nothing about Unova's history and myths.

"The Perfect Kyurem is the complete form of Kyurem. Originally, Unova only has one dragon--Kyruem, which represents both ideals and truths, and it is controlled by a pair of brothers. However, the brothers had a conflict and fought each other and caused Kyurem to split into three-part: Zekrom, the embodiment of the ideals, Reshiram, the embodiment of the truth, and Kyurem, the leftover shell of the original Kyurem. Even though that is just a myth, but I saw that the current Kyurem is able to fuse with the other two dragons, but only one at a time."N said.

"So, that must be a bad thing. Kalino, we need to tell the team! We must go back!" Rosie said then shouted towards Kalino, as she noticed the mission is now more than just freeing the Twisted mountains and allow the miners to obtain coal. Without Kalino's reply, Rosie quickly rushes back to the team.

Melia saw Rosie ran, so she asked, "Lord N, should we follow her?" N thinks for a bit, then looked towards the Black Plasma Grunt's Pokémon. He answered, "No, let her go, and your friend too. Let them go back, we still have Pokemons to rescue."

"Crikey! Not even big bad Guzma would do such a thing!" Kalino muttered with Melia nodding in agreement. "Nor would Madam Lusamine," the latter added.

"Yeah, let's go -- HEY!!!" Kalino replied only to find Rosie running off again. He sighed while turning to Iceslash who had been following him since quite some time ago.
"Sorry, Iceslash," he apologized as he pulled out a spare Pokéball from inside his jacket. "I need you to stay in here until we meet Hugo, okay?" Iceslash replied to it by touching the Pokéball's button, thus entering it by herself.
Not sure if Rosie would make it to everyone else in time all by herself, Kalino proceeded to call a Tauros ride via his Ride Pager, then hopped on the Wild Bull Pokémon and caught up with Rosie.
"C'mon Rosie, hop on!" the boy said with his Tauros lowering his body as if wanting her to do as Kalino said.

Melia nodded as she clenched her second Pokéball. She then tossed it up, revealing an Audino in there.
"Come on, Audrey," she said to the Audino. "We still have work to do." That being said, the two ran to their comrades and the Pokémon they're tending to.

 

Rosie saw Kalino riding a Tauros and ran next to her. With his shout to indicate her to join the ride. Rosie hopped on. "Thanks, Kalino," Rosie said shily, as she never rides on a Pokémon with anyone at all.

The wild bull ran fast, but even with its speed, it still takes some time to run back. So, knowing it won't be soon before joining up with the rest of the team. Rosie finally relaxed. After a rush of adrenaline and noradrenaline, the (not-so-)shy girl finally relaxed and claimed down completely. Although it is hard to see, she actually still in rage when talking to N, but she managed it pretty well as the Pokémon-caring girl encountered a similar situation.

It took quite some time until Kalino noticed a flicker of fire quite far from where he, Rosie and Tauros were. As they got closer, the flicker of fire eventually turned out to be the tail of Kalino's Charizard ride. Right below them were the rest of the gang as well as Mio and the two Mudsdale. Fortunately, Kalino could stop his Tauros before he could crash the sleigh.

"Whew..."
Kalino hopped down from the Tauros, helped Rosie to get down as well, and noticed what looked like an avalanche just passing by.
"Uh, guys," he called everyone there. "What's going on here?"

"Looks like this mission is becoming more than liberating a coal mine," Kalino huffed while climbing on the sleigh.
"Claire was right. Kyurem caused this whole mess and a group of ninja-clad baddies wanna control it to rule the world," the blue-haired boy explained. He then rummaged his backpack for three bottles of Moomoo Milk and hopped back down to where Mio and the two Mudsdale were.
"Good job, guys," Kalino praised the three Pokémon as he offered the Moomoo Milk to them. Mio and the Mudsdale ride happily drank the milk, while the other Mudsdale... (again, I'm leaving the blank part up to Jey to fill)

Upon seeing the Alolan Ninetales, Fei decided to have a little reunion with Mio. They looked so dang happy upon seeing each other after quite a long time.

Now that Kalino didn't wanna mess with the fairy-type girls' happy moment, he turned to his Charizard and Tauros rides. "Thanks for your help, guys," he thanked them before sending them back to their respective home ranches with his Ride Pager. In the Tauros' case though, Kalino only did so once he made sure that Rosie had already hopped off from him.

 

David sat by the fire feeding his two small Pokémon as the group finally met up again. The little squirrel and antlion seemed vastly unprepared for the things he’d seen. It was one thing to read of legendary Pokémon in ancient stories, or even to see news articles of fanatic groups trying to reawaken them, but to encounter them in his own life was a bit shocking. On top of that, seeing the powerful trainers around him gave him just a bit of envy. They were so strong and faced these unheard of perils like it was just another Day. Maybe after all this was over, he’d need to take some time from his studies and work his Pokémon just a little bit harder, but not tonight. It was so cold, and they still had work to do.
