Team Plasma or Neo Team Plasma

I do like both team Plasmas and I have to say, the second team plasma had way better uniforms. Also, I did like the original ones better. I just thought they were... better? I don't really have a reason for this.

 

Original Team Plasma. Better design and slightly better objective/goal in mind (before their true intentions were revealed). However, I do like Ghetsis as a leader better than N.

 

The Neo Team Plasma did have better uniforms. But I actually prefer to the original Team Plasma. I like how they show both positive and negative of their plan (positive for those who care about Pokémon and negative for those who wish to take over the world). The story line for them was also very good. =3

I liked the original Team Plasma much more. Their goal seemed more... defendable. It was also very interesting that Ghetsis was really the evil force, as opposed to Team Plasma as a whole. I suppose Neo Team Plasma just seems too bland to me, like they're evil only for the sake of being evil. The original Team Plasma seems to be a better representation of how things would happen in the real world.

 

Honestly, its hard to decide since the teams are entirely different when you think about it. The original team hid their true motives behind a pure (albeit fake) motive that even their "leader" N didn't know about, and that itself raises some questions like who did know the real plan other than Ghetsis? I really did like N and he is probably my favorite character in the entire series now. But due to N revealing that he was the leader of team plasma, I felt like there was never a threat. No one had to follow N if they didn't want to because we have seen how little power the champion of a region really has. Granted the twist (not so unexpected) added some threat but it didn't have a lot of weight. N leaving was incredibly sad though.
Then black/white 2 come along and changed everything (including the plasma outfits thank god!). If you played the first game you know exactly who is leading plasma and your neighbor, Hugh, makes it quite clear that Ghetsis' motives have far from changed. But no hero or N is in sight. So yeah while the new team was more cliche with the take over the world thing, Ghetsis has cleary learned his lesson and is not about to let anyone mess up his plans. (Colress is pretty cool addition as well) I actually felt a threat with them especially when Ghetsis sets Kyurem on you. He actually tried to silence you before you shared what you knew. Then N comes in and is all awesome again!

 

I'd have to go with Neo Plasma. The original made me think of PETA, and we all know how full of crap they are. It make me think that they thought they were good. Team Aqua/Magma did the same thing, but they did spawn those awful PETA approved Pokémon Games, and we all know how ridiculous those were. Neo Plasma though felt like a legit threat. They reminded me of militia, which was something I hadn't felt since Team Rocket. So, point goes to the new.

Neo was Gamefreak trying too hard to make a sequel.

 

Definitely original, I liked N SO MUCH OH MY GOSH

 

Neo Plasma seemed somewhat cooler to me, though probably because of their outfits. Not to mention Colress too!

 

Original Team Plasma all the way! I love how they reformed and are actually helping Pokémon in the sequels, I think that was a really nice touch. It shows that a good portion of them really do genuinely care about the well being of Pokémon, which is a good thing to see. Plus, N is one of my favorite Pokémon characters, haha.

 

I loved the original Team Plasma, because of their roles in BW2. It was rather small, but it was interesting to see how they followed N, but for the true purpose instead of Ghetsis's corrupt one.

However, Neo Team Plasma's outfits were cooler haha.

 

Eh, I hated them anyway.
The original Team Plasma had stupid outfits and generally acted childish as hell, using the generic "Ooh, give me your Pokémon or I'll exterminate them hue hue!" Their plot was the best in Pokémon, IMO, but still could be improved. They were heavily hypocritical and... hid in a giant freezer? I'm pretty sure that's GameFreak's way of letting the trainers get an ice type so they can easily win against Clay...
And then, the second Team Plasma. They had no reason whatsoever to exist, and used the same "Gimme your Pokémon!" policy. And... Freezing Unova? What's the point of that? The Frigate was pretty cool though.

So, I'll pick Neo Team Plasma because their outfits are better c:

 

Neo Team Plasma FTW. I think their uniforms aremore "evil" looking, since the old team plasma's uniforms looked way too medival for a villanous team.
Also Neo Team Plasma's battle music is freakin' awesome.

 

Original, because Neo- seemed more like Team rocket rip offs with only half following Ghestis, and the other half believing ghestis words... the original was ten times better with a legitimate reason (Which turned out to be Ghestisis masterminding it to control all Pokémon but whatever)


Seeing a patern of people liking Neo for their Ninja like outfits (naruto much?) which I can agree with but im more of a Knight kind of man.... also Black 2 I payed more attention to musicSo I was blown more away by the musics Especially the grunts which made battling the grunts fun... (also I found B2 easier than White I had a overleveled team of 6 but to be fair I used the in game zoruark and gigalith)

 

Team Plasma. They were better as a whole, even though some of the members abused their positions, there were some that joined because they believed they were genuinely helping Pokémon.

I prefer Neo Team Plasma's costume much more than the original Team Plasma's. However, the original team's objective was much well thought out than that of Neo's imo, which mostly just involved world domination, similar to Team Rocket. Plus, they have N, who is one of my favourite characters! <3

 

I did think the original Team Plasma came together more as a group because of N and Ghetsis' ambitions; they were a huge contributor to Plasma's overall goals and personality. I'd even argue that those two were the sole personality of the entire group and really linked everything together. From N's unsure motives at first to him switching sides and realizing that he wasn't going in the direction he truly wanted to. Ghetsis was a terrifying character and perfect antagonist with how set in his corrupted ideas he was. His battle music was also as perfect as they get for one of the final matches and a truly great closure to Plasma's original story.

Neo Team Plasma have awesome designs but I'd say that's the extent of it. Their goal of freezing over Unova didn't capture me as much and I found myself more immersed with the region itself than the story of B/W2, unlike in B/W where I couldn't take my eyes off of.. everything, really.
