Team Rocket Side quest?

Yeah I feel the same way. They were easy and just not involved as much in the plot.

 

yup I kind of Figured and the poor team rocket member who steals a Gear from the Power Plant never knew Team Rocket went bye-bye

 

Yeah, it really was just an extra. The story of Gold and Silver is really more about the legendaries and mythology than any villains, even more so in the remakes where they made some bits mandatory and a bit deeper.

 

I would love to have kept the Team Rocket uniform as an additional skin for my character. Hell, I'd like a Pokémon game where you say yes to become a member.

Yeah, I like it better when the villains of the game take a bigger role. Team Rocket was just there. They didn't really do anything. I feel like they failed to seem like a big deal and a threat to the Pokémon world. Tying the villains of the games into the storyline means more battles to fights, which means more exp. points. Villains being tied into the storyline make it that much more interesting.

I do think they were just a simple side quest thing. Something you have to pass before going onto the next thing. It kinda made me a little sad that when they remade Silver/Gold, they really didn't add to the story. Maybe they were causing mischief with Lugia/Ho-oh or something. Although, they kind of did that with the other generation games > > But that was just an idea to be thrown into the boards lol.

 

I agree that TR wasn't very present in the story, but I think it's somewhat normal since there isn't Giovanni anymore.

 

Doesn't anyone remember the huge radio tower takeover? I felt like that was a huge part of the game.
Although, after that they could've expanded with their ideas but instead TR pretty much vanished.

Besides, I much prefer a game where the bad guys aren't all up in your face and EVERYWHERE you go (*cough*teamgalactic*cough*)
