Team Rocket

I though they were stupid, honestly! They seemed to have no real goal except get money and steal Pokémon, and all of them had extremely lousy Pokémon. They were a tiny bit more interesting in HeartGold...but still, no deep or meaningful plot behind them.

 

I didn't like them because they killed Cubone's mother. They were pretty easy to beat up, and Giovanni was no exception... Their motives were pretty shallow too, all they wanted was money.

 

Team rocket in gen 1 was fine, and simple. Nothing too deep, nothing too vast, just a simple team wanting to take over the world in some cases. I liked their costume and their simplicity of course. It was in Gen 2 where i felt they got deeper into the story of Team Rocket, and was a good way to end off the team. No I don't think they had much of a challenge at all, but more of a nice charm if anything. Again simple team, and a very memorable team at that.

 

I didn't like Team Rocket very much. They were all very disappointing in terms of battle skill, and I thought in general they were really obnoxious without even having a real goal to accomplish. Team Galactic was full of crazy people, but at least they had a goal.

 

I like Team Rocket just because of Giovanni, haha. Their motives are kinda plain, a lot better in the manga. honestly the manga's why I like Giovanni so much XD That said, I definitely like the simplicity of their uniforms, even if the only thing they did to really try to take over the world was create Mewtwo, and it escaped.

 

Team Rocket was really cool in the manga, and I also like them in the games. They recruit children to steal Pokémon, and use them to commit crimes. That's sounds pretty dark to me.

 

I agree with fabe. In the manga they were so badass! In the games, yes they were pretty tamed where their aim was profit, profit, profit! I also really liked that Giovanni turned out to be the last Gym leader! What a wonderful plot twist!

 

Yes, their goal was realistic and very clear, and they would go as far as murdering innocent Pokémon (like Marowak) to make a statement. As far as how "challenging" they were... let's just say they weren't, and it's a shame. Giovanni deserved stronger admins on his team, as well as stronger Pokémon for himself, like the Mecha Mewtwo you see in the anime.

 

Team Rocket honestly felt like a filler to me in the original games. They whole storyline was easily overlooked, they were pretty much just there to grind some extra levels. Especially when compared to the more recent generations, Team Rocket really meant nothing. Their actions were pretty lame, they didn't form any kind of big threat, they were just kind of there...
