Has anyone else seen those teenager posts about random stuff? I think they're hilarious! And sadly, an embarrassing lot of them apply to me, to the T. Post here and see if anyone else has such a weird connection with them. Or just post your favorites! #MissingNo
Sorry...so, if you pull up a search engine and type in 'teenager posts' and go to images, there should be some brightly colored rectangles with lettering on them. Here's a site: http://teenager-posts.com/ I just wanted to see if anyone else knew about them. But now I have successfully turned one more to our cause. Master will reward me. #MissingNo
It's like a stereotyped millennial wrote those. Some of them are clever, and other are WTF. Look at this one: "Vodka may burn the throat, but the thought of you burns my mind. I'd rather black out than stare at the empty hands that once held yours." Geez. Do I even have to say how cringy this is? It's a forced correlation. So how this works is people submit things and the owner reposts them? With that, you're going to get a lot of dumb ones too. I'm also not the biggest fan of "HEY I RELATE TO THIS, I CLAPPED BECAUSE I RECOGNIZED THE THING!" "Have you every been so right about something that you end up laughing because you saw it coming? Alwaaayyyyyssss lmaaaooooo" I guess I relate to that. I don't post like this though. Like geez, this is as stereotypical millennial as it gets. I'm trying to find some clever ones. I don't want to be a total downer. Looking through these, I see now this is simply not for me at all. Not just because I'm just different with thinking, but because I'm a guy. These are all girls posting relations. There's nothing for a guy to relate to around there.
Yep. And that's what makes me laugh about them. That's coming from someone who writes cringy fanfics, though. Personally I like them because they are so cringy. I agree that they are girly stuff, though. You aren't a total downer, it's just me having too much free time and a computer on my hands. And yes, it's totally 'clap if you recognize' stereotypical stuff. #MissingNo
Me too. I think it's mostly those bizarre ones like 'When the teacher erases the board sloppily but leaves a mark or two, I go insane inside'. Yeah. #MissingNo
I honestly feel too triggered by the graphic design choices to read what they say LOL hot damn that leading and kerning combined with neon x - x
Some are relatable, but it's mostly a stereotype to me. I'm not the teenage girl who longs for love and loathes and sings on social media. I'm the teenage girl that doesn't give a f*ck about love (google aromantic) with the short hair. I don't see how they racked up almost 50000 of these things. But it's kinda funny to me for that reason: what does society expect of me? I snicker as I destroy their stereotypes...
I'm not either, but that's the funny part. I mean, the stuff about 'mini heart attack when the teacher calls your name and you're not listening' I can relate. It is so pathetically funny that the absurdity fits into the twenty-first century so well, anyways. #MissingNo
"Me: Why doesn't anyone hit me up anymore? Also Me: *Has become the most boring texter ever, never responds, is always asleep.*" ...This is almost accurate for me. Particularly the sleeping part.
*Whenever you walk into the doctor's office and he asks what is wrong and you turn to your mom and wait for her to explain* Me x1000 I still take Uber to places and ask my mom to drive me because I am lazy and do not want to get my license. I am such a fail for a teenager at this point, oh yeah and did I mention I am going to Disney World for my birthday? Yeah, I know I should be ashamed...
