    Teleportation by Sheldon Cooper, everyone.

What are your thoughts on teleportation? Would it be a pretty nice way to travel long distances? Might it be dangerous with the destruction and reassembly of your particles? Or maybe you think teleportation works differently. Share your teleportation thoughts!

Damn it, Big Bang Theory writers, you stole my complaint with teleportation machines!

Anyway, I might teleport, but as always, it depends. Dimensional teleportation (á la X-Men's Nightcrawler or Naruto's Fourth Hokage) is something I'd use for transportation frequently. The whole "tear you apart and rebuild you" thing kind of scares me, because not only would it kill me and create some impostor, but it sounds like a painful death.

Teleportation has always been my dream superpower. However, if there were to come a day where the technology is created, it'd be best if it'd be prohibited due to privacy concerns.

Teleportation would be pretty awesome. It would definitely be useful, but there are definitely risks that would come with it. If the technology is ever developed, I, for one, would not want to test it.

Teleportation through the use of a pocket dimension is my preferred method.

I'm not sure about this one. Teleportation while cool, is kind of risky. You have no idea what some people will do with it. So, Basicaly in agreeable with the people above, if the tech is created, it should not be public.

There are many different kinds of teleportation.
If there was a machine that facilitated the process. Then as others have said I wouldn't use it, EXCEPT as a method of moving freight. Inanimate objects would likely be perfectly acceptable, because they aren't alive. Plants might even be ok. Animals and up, no.
If it was magical, (like in Pokémon) then yes. Me and Ralts would teleport everywhere

I think teleportation is something that would be both beneficial and detrimental to humans. On one hand, we could rip up roads and cover them in trees and plants, which would make the planet better off. On the other hand, the energy that we'd need to use such powerful technology might be hurting the planet or humans in the end anyway...
But teleportation still seems like a cool thing to do

I think if we were only teleporting inanimate objects, it would be fine. Living creatures, however, risk too much in the process. This all assumes we can even create such a device, which I honestly don't think will ever happen.

See BBT has the solid and right idea here. But lets now dive into Pokémon logic. So you're telling me that when an Abra (for example) uses Teleport, a new Abra is created? If that were the case, then the new Abra might have different Iv's, nature, and so forth. Either way jokes aside, this is a cool theory and idea. Do i dream that one day we can teleport? mmm nah, I rather walk :)

Considering how much I dislike planes and long wait times to get somewhere, I'd probably risk teleportation despite whatever might happen so long as chances for things going wrong aren't too high. Then I don't need to worry about working a job too far from home! And can visit people quickly. <3 Too, too tempting.

But yeah, definitely is much safer to teleport objects than people given the risks so it's best to do some long, long testing before the first human can be permitted to teleport.

I like the idea of it, it would make travel cheaper and more accessible, but I know people would find some way to misuse it. Especially things like drug cartels and stuff.

Teleportation has almost always been the superpower that I would want most. The ability to get from place to place quickly has so much appeal, I just really want to do it. I don't care about technicalities here, I just say: let me teleport!

I would love to Teleport. I wouldn't know how science would make that possible, but I'd visit the countries throughout the world, and if there would be no trafficking or anything on teleportation in the near future, which they would probably do in the future, I would be able to travel, free of charge!
