So, our captain has told me to make a thread specifically for Tetris strategy and discussion, and to put what I previously had for Tetris in the arcade game strategy thread into here. My Tetris strategy is to first, keep one block width open at all times, preferably on one of the sides. Secondly, only hold the long blue tetriminos. And if you don't have one held already, hold whatever one comes to you unless this following rule applies to you: if you have four lines at the bottom almost completed (being the only one missing is the aforementioned one block width), put the long blue tetrimino into the slot. This is because you get more points the more lines you clear in a single move, with a maximum of four lines.
I am actually able to help this week! I may not have flash, but the link redirected me to a link where I could download Tetris as an app on my tablet! Unless that is banned for some reason, I will be submitting my score as soon as I get a decent one!
Remember, the C button is the hold key on this game! And yeah, what Smarty said, if you can, try to hold off clearing rows until you have a few stacks. If you have a dreaded gap, prioritize clearing rows asap to open up all the way to the bottom though. Also, we've already passed the 200k combined score mark. This is gonna be a fun week.
I just got a crazy good score... I am confused and slightly nervous that they might disqualify me due to how good it is and the fact that I needed to download it as an app instead of being able to play it on the website. Azalea said it was fine, but that’s before I got a crazy good score. And it’s only the 5th time I played the game! I’m a bit scared...
I get a good score on my first try and I played it on my phone!! I already have an disadvantage as play on a phone is much harder than playing it on a computer. The controls are just wacky And that does not make me scared of being DQ
I was probably overreacting there. Sorry! Anyway, I came to give a tip. Prioritize filling gaps and clearing lines over setting up combos. While combos give more points, it is useless if that means you won't be able to clear anything at all. I also do recommend holding onto the thin long blocks in order to use them in a pinch. Just be sure not to hold something St the expense of clearing rows. NEVER block off a gap one block wide with something other than the long thin block. Finally, the T and Z blocks are often the hardest to use, but they combo into each other very well. Avoid blocking the gaps they leave off with the square block. From there, it's just a matter of getting everything where it needs to be on time.

As you can see, we have a pretty significant lead atm, but we can't call it a victory too early! The more distance we can put between us and Team Crimson, the better! Just found out: use your mouse or trackpad, you WILL get better scores because it's easier to keep up with the speed that way!
What level did you hit for that current score? I find it easier to use the arrow keys until around Level 12ish
Yeah you're right. The mouse is so much easier to control once it starts getting faster. I've nearly hit 400k at this point.
I had my doubts about the mouse but holy crap, it does make a difference. Nearly hit 400k here as well.

Well, i would post my score there, but when I try to play it, it show a light blue background and it don't make me play. I don't if it's a problem that can be solved, but i'll say it anyway for explain why i don't post my score.
